Fire your packager
The knife itself is great, perfect for bagels, comfortable enough. Good value. But the packaging is absolutely AWFUL. The blister pack is so tight, so rigid, and sealed so close to the knife it felt like surgery trying to get it out without destroying the product or hurting myself, which I ended taking a chunk out of the handle ANYWAY. Like I said, great knife, fire whoever came up with the packaging.

Good knife but the sheath is unsafe
I've bought several of these knives over the years. They're sharp and useful. The knife sheathes used to be hard plastic and while snug, it wasn't hard to get the knife out. With the new oval sheath I was afraid I would cut my finger off or worse. It's a struggle to get the knife in and out and the whole process is scary. I also found the packaging impossible. It was hard to open and way too much plastic. I won't but this version of the knife again.

Worthless
When I first received this item and opened it, in the very difficult packaging, I noticed the blade was already damaged, as though it had been used before. It had strange marks on it, like blotches. I washed it with warm water, mild detergent, and a soft washcloth, but couldn't removed the marks. Not only that, but the paint on the blade immediately started to scratch off. Also, this knife is too large and heavy to be a comfortable bagel knife. It's really more like a small saw. I do not recommend this product. I'm returning the knife.

Quality product at a good price.
This is an excellent knife. Great for making sandwiches or cutting bagels. Also great for spreading mayo,cream cheese or butter. Safety guard takes some getting used to. Very tight initially but becomes easier touse over time.

The protective covering is too tight.
The knife may have been what I wanted but the cover was very difficult to put over the knife. Once I finally got it on I could not get it off. I decided to throw it away because I was afraid I was going to slice my hand if I kept trying to remove it.

Great spreader/ cutter!
Very well made, sharp, the grip is very comfortable the only complaint i have is the sheath it comes in, it is EXTREMELY tight and hard to put back even after mustiple uses.. Its almost not even worth keeping in the sheath but be careful because the one side actually is pretty sharp.. cuts through bagels and break with ease!

I Really Like It
Very reasonably priced; I splurged and bought two. Great for cutting and buttering bagels, English muffins, et al.

Just like in the bagel shop!
These are multi- functional and lightweight with a sturdy blade and handle. One side of the blade cuts and the smooth side spreads schmear nicely. Be careful with replacing the cover, it can be tricky.

its slicey.
Nice sandwich prep knife. serrations on one side only so some wandering depending on what and how u cut. cut with trimmed piece away from serrationsand it "pushes" it away a bit which is nice.Good grip and feel. Recommend. i like it.
