A premium product that really performs.
This is a far superior product when compared to other types of bio-media that I’ve used. It has lasted from October 2020 to present, April 2021 without having to clean out my filter. In past years I cleaned it twice in the same time period.

Great Media - New Go-to
I have been using plastic w/ foam ball media for sometime, but recently set up a new 125g and was looking for a change to something better. I caught a review of this product on You Tube where they looked at various absorbency/permeability of several bio medias. The regular size Biohome Ultra outperformed all others, by a significant margin. The only downside was the size of the regular Biohome Ultra, which might be difficult to fit into my HOB filter. Then I found this- the same Ultra Biohome, but in mini. I decided to give it a try. I have been running the Biohome mini Ultra now for about two months. It cycled quick using a mix of existing media and a sponge filter. My water seems to be more resilient, but it is a new tank and the bio load is not terribly high yet. The media seems to be durable as well and Im hopeful it will last for years. The cost is high compared to others on the market, but if this media saves water changes and keeps my nitrates/nitrites at zero, its well worth it. I plan to add more tanks with Biohome mini ultra, as well as add to the media in the 125g. Will update here with any negative, but none yet, other than the higher than average cost

Very good product
It really works .It takes about two weeks. And once it's established it helps keep your ammonia, nitrite at 0 . I have a 45 gal tank. 1 pack is enough. I recommend this product

Highly Recommend
I saw these on YouTube video of The Pond Guy and thought I would give them a try! I used in my Penn Plax 1200 canister filter. My water is crystal clear and I have dramatically reduced water changes! A little more expensive than some other media but totally worth it! 👍👍 Two Thumbs Up!

Good filter
This is the 1 lbs bag, I should have ordered 2 lbs for my 55gal turtle tank due to how dirty turtle are.When I get good results on the filter configuration I will have to order more for the permanent in tank skimmer/filter

Perfect Water Chemistry in 2 weeks!
I put this filter media in my ancient Fluval 205 on a 28 gallon tank with more fish than I really ought to have and my tank stabilized in a week, then gave perfect results in 2 weeks. I watched a video with the Pondguru "pimping" a Fluval 206 filter and basically did the same thing to my 205. The results speak for themselves. I have 7 Angelfish from small to large and a clown plecostimus all in this tank (yes, I know, too many fish, but I'll fix that soon enough) and the filter is working perfectly to keep ammonia at zero, nitrites at zero, and nitrates about 10 ppm. I could not be happier with these results!

I’m so glad I decided to get this media for my fish tank. So much better than just the usual media.

Mini isn't exactly mini
I'm glad I got the "mini" as I wouldn't exactly call it mini at all. Each piece is a little more than an inch. Otherwise, I guess it seems like it's ok.
