I bought this as a gift to a dear friend she's 82 years old and she was having hip and knee pain. This really helped her a lot to put her socks and shoes on and to take her socks off. She also used it to scratch her back and it also helped getting things that were to high for her. I am glad it makes things easier for her.

I like the length and the handle (although I will never use it for the intended pu rpose of assisting in putting on a coat) the problem is it is really a thin hollow plastic tube. It did not screw together correctly and right off the get-go is bent. It just feels flimsy when using. Might be better suited for fashion shoes and stockings rather than knit socks and hiking shoes/boots.

I have severe arthritis in my hip & am unable to bend down to reach my feet.I have purchased several different types of extendable shoe horns to help put on my shoes & this one is the sturdiest & easiest to use. It has 3 sections which allow for different lengths, depending upon how many sections are used. I am a tall person, but I prefer to use only 2 sections as I use it mostly sitting down,It doesn't bend or twist, unlike others I have had, when putting on fairly tight slip on shoes.The features on the top of the handle are great for removing socks & also picking them up off the floor.I highly recommend this product.

This long handle shoe horn is so much more handier than a shoe horn alone. I am 2 weeks post-op after hip replacement surgery. I have used this device to help me reach while getting into and out of my clothing twice a day. Its double hooks also help me tidy up along the floor hooking all types of clothing, towels, and more. I've used it to even help me get into leggings easily. It's one item that you can't do without after surgery when reaching is impaired while healing or before when you are challenged by limited range of motion. It's simple to use and durable enough for many daily tasks.

I have just ordered another one. Anytime I love a product I always have a backup/spare on hand for a gift but usually my family members like to “borrow”an excellent product. I have had many different shoe horns. With this one I do not have to struggle to get my shoes on. It is long enough that I do not have to bend to reach my shoe and at times l have lost my balance. Not only does the sock remover tool remove socks but it also helps me put on my ankle socks which I also struggled with and there were times I went without socks.

My husband has been using this stick since September, 2023 to assist in dressing. He found it to be very useful. However, today it snapped at one of the assembly joints. When he examined it, there was a "bubble" or "void" inside where the plastic had not filled properly when molded (porporosity). Unfortunately, as there is no way to contact the Seller to report this issue, I've had to resort to this bad review method. Do Better Fanwer!!

This shoe horn is made out of plastic which is not strong enough to withstand the force of stretching out the heel of the shoe on one side of it and the force of the heel smashing against it on the other side. I took it for granted that it was made out of steel and was upset when I opened the package to see that it was made out of plastic and that I paid $15.00 for a 30 inch plastic stick! The threads are made out of plastic so you cannot torque the sections down enough to keep the sections connected so it is a $15.00 plastic stick that ! give a 1 star only because it will work and is better than nothing.
