Q: Can you use these bags for baby food and store them in the freezer ?

We never tried to put the mylar in the freezer with liquid, so its hard to say how they will hold up in 3 month or so. The might do well, but I would recommend to get something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IM8FX0E from Avent or search for bags like this, as they have been tested how they will hold up frozen for long time.

Q: Are these bags waterproof?

Once you heat seal them they will be water proof.

Q: Do you need a heat sealer to seal the bag?

Yes, you need a heat sealer. (But it also has a zip lock in case you don’t have a heat sealer)

Q: Okay call me stupid but how do you fill the bags? Do you have to use the tear function, that makes no sense to me!

The bags have a ziplock which can open and close many times. Only if you heat seal the bag after filling you would need to use the tear function.
