Pop & Lock looks factory and works great!
This thing was very easy to install. The hardest part was getting the handle cover off without breaking it or scratching the tailgate. But with my plastic pry bars it was good enough.

Probably the most frustrating installation I have had to deal with.
Restoring a 1998 Dodge Ram. Bought new tailgate, release lever and plastic housing. I had to remove part of the lock to get it to work (see photo). With that piece on, the latch would not open or close. The part seemed useless anyway, unless other tailgate handles are notched out underneath so this part doesn't prevent the handle from being lifted. I also had to Dremel some of the plastic off the housing to accommodate the lock. I also had to replace the speed clip on it, because it didn't match the screw size for my latch assembly.

Lock that tailgate up.
I installed a toneau cover on my truck and with the addition of the tailgate lock can now enjoy a large storage space in my truck bed during travel. The lock performed well with no complaints.

simple and works.
Installed in about 5 mins only thing that kept it from 5 stars is when it's locked and you put normal pressure on the tailgate handle the driver's side of the tailgate still unlatches.

I read the reviews....
I read the reviews on this product before I bought it. I am sure for each make and model, they are build a bit different.I read it was a cheap plastic piece of junk..I'm here to tell you..nothing plastic on my 94-01 dodge ram model. Was super easy to install, and it did exactly as advertised...it secured my tail gate. Prices do vary from place to place. Go on to the po and lock website and read the installation instructions where they state if bought thru places like ebay or unauthorized dealer.. they will not honor warranty. I read it was a great product too.... I took a shot and it is a very sturdy.
