Solid product, works as promised, a good purchase.
We love this anchor! I bought it for a 10 pound dog and it works perfectly. I have it drilled into the middle of my yard. It is holding tight and is low enough for the mower to clear it, plus it was super easy to install. Keeps my little Duke safe and happy while he patrols the lawn. It does feel solid enough to work for a bigger dog, but alas I can only attest to a 10 pounder.

Very sturdy. Excellent movement.
About a month ago I mounted this to the side of my shed about 2 feet off the ground, using my own 2 1/4" bolts instead of the 7 3/4" bolts that came with it. I was only able to use 3 of the 5 holes when mounting due to where I mounted it on the shed.I have a husky that occasionally give this tie-out a good tug. This thing has worked wonderfully and I've never had a concern with it coming out. The swivel design is really nice and allows my dog to roam all over the yard. I have never had a prolem with the swivel locking up or getting caught on anything. When mowing, it's not difficult to pull line line in and set it off to the side.I highly recommend this if you plan on mounting it to a sturdy structure.

Way better than the other one I bought
I bought two different versions of a tie out stake like this. I received this one first and I was happy with the quality. The screws have deep ridges to help hold them in the ground. I didn’t realize I would get a socket bit, so I was happy to not have to dig one out.I have hard packed dirt and the stake felt super secure, and I was reasonably confident it would hold my stupidly strong dog.Even though he’s only been on it once, I did notice that the metal is dented where the ring hit the side when he pulled hard. I will have to keep checking to make sure it’s secure. Overall, I was happy with my purchase.Then my second one came (the black one in the photos). It’s plastic and metal. The ball bearing thing is half the size. Even more noticeable is the screws, which seem more like tent stakes. So for that reason, I’m returning the other and buying a second of these.

Works great . Update to original review .
The media could not be loaded. This is our beagle . Shows how light and maneuverable this product is .Easy install . Tap the screws with lightweight hammer till resistance. Then tighten with socket. ( Suggestion: tighten one screw then install cable and make a circle to insure adequate room is available for the entire diameter of cable length). Then tighten all the screws.We have a smaller dog. But I have no doubt this would work with larger dogs .Also . The cable is strong but extremely light weight and requires little effort for the dog to pull it around . This is a great product. Highly recommend.

No more tangles
I replaced an anchor that had a handle at the top. Dogs tangled on that right away. This anchor is AMAZING. Easy to install. I'll admit I was skeptical that those screws would hold two dogs, but they do. There are no obstructions to tangle on so perfect solution.

Look for thicker wire for bigger dogs
Easy to install, you can choose the length you want. Works great, but the only reason for a 3 star is because the wire broke while my dog was on it and he took off. He is a 72 pound German shepherd and the chain was not strong enough!!

Sturdy
Didn’t have any power tools so it took a while to get in the ground but I was able to get it in with hand tools. It’s very sturdy and spins easily, allowing my pup to run around easily.
