This was my second purchase from them. I’ve tried a few other brands, and so far I prefer grave before shave over others. I got the pine scent last time, and it was nice but seemed a bit unnatural/processed scent wise. The vanilla cigar blend smells awesome, and the quality is great no matter the scent. It’s super easy to work with and has a nice light hold.

Preface: Growing a full beard for the first time and a heard about beard balm. Quick search and I discovered Grave before shave. I orderd the sample pack of oils and they are f'n awesome. But I wanted something to help tame my curly mane. So, i ordered beard balm. Initial impressions: This is a quality product. Easy to use. Smells A-Mazing! Of the beard oils, there is not a scent I dont like. But this Vanilla Cigar must be a new "flavor". I hoped it smelled like sweet pipe tobacco...and I am not disappointed! If you are unfamiliar with beard balms, they use natural "butters", bees waxs, and oils to make a product that is a bit firmer than, say, cold chap stick. Not too hard, but when to but some in the palm of your hand, it begins to melt into a fragrant oil-ish substance that you can work into your beard. Final thoughts: Quality product. I've orderd Grave before shave products from Amazon & Directly from their site. Fast shipping. The product has badass art. Smells like a bad ass, pipe smoking gentleman. It leaves your beard soft and tame and smelling of vanilla-ish pipe tobacco. Sent last longer than beard oil. Stronger at first and slowly dissipates over time. Beard feels soft and supple all day. Although you can reapply as need or as you want. Is it the best beard balm in the world? I dont know about that. But for the price, its a steal. Buy it now!

I've got a frizzy hairy Italian beard that curls and flips all over the place so balms and holding products are a must. I purchased this looking for something that didn't smell like a damn hipster (patchouli) and had enough hold to keep this crazy thing against my face. I'm glad I did. This is a great product. I personally enjoy the smell, it's almost like a vanilla spice candle or something. Anything beats patchouli in 90% of all those other beard balms.... the hold is nice, it's not difficult at all to get out of the tin, and it melts in your hand in about 3 seconds once you rub it. It applies nice and evenly and doesn't leave your beard feeling stiff like hair gel, yet somehow it holds it in place. It's not too oily or shiny, just the right amount of everything. My biggest gripe is my moustache hairs going crazy and getting in my mouth, this does a great job of preventing that. All in all I really love this stuff, smells amazing and really works.

I have had a beard coming on 10 years now, I have used a few beard balms and never found anything I really loved, until now. This stuff is amazing, smells amazing and the scent lasts for ages unlike most balms. It emulsified really smoothly and went on the beard no problem with no lumps. Beard looked great, nice shine and held shape really well. Look forward to trying all the other products available by these guys
