Exactly as advertised
We have the nicest looking mailbox on our street! We purchased the white one. This was very easy to put together. I'm a female in my 60's, who recently had shoulder surgery, so no more hole digging for me. I put this together by myself. The instructions could've been clearer but I just took my time. It holds 100 pounds of sand, so there's no worries that it might blow away in a storm, it's also very sturdy and well made. I've had several compliments and have been told it's the nicest looking mailbox on our street. I would recommend this product to anyone, especially if your health prevents you from digging holes. But even if you are able to dig a hole, why would you want to go to all that extra work and expense, when you don't have to.It's very reasonably priced. If you're thinking about getting this mailbox, but you're not sure about it, I say don't hesitate. One other thing, we live in a rural area on acreage. There are a lot of ugly mailboxes around here. I love how ours stands out from them. Also, if it was to get knocked over by a snow plow, I have no doubt we'll be able to just stand it back up again, unless the plow literally runs it over and crushes it, it's that sturdy!

I love this mailbox
Here are my before and after picks. I love this mailbox! It was very easy to install. I didn't use 100lbs of sand because the base and the post filled up pretty quick. I used about 75lbs. The sand I used was recommended for use as a weight and it was pretty heavy. Based on some of the reviews, I did bury the base. As you can see in the photos, I repurposed some stones I had and I think it looks great! I've already received compliments from my neighbors. This is a good quality mailbox. Well worth the money. I also love that I can get my mail from the sidewalk too. The size is great and now I don't have to worry about water leaking into the mailbox and getting my mail all wet.

easy to put together
Great mailbox. Larger than I thought it would be. Well designed . All parts went together like they were supposed to.My only problem was not with the mailbox, but with my supplier of play sand. They keep theirs out in the open. Condensation was inside the bag making it wet and therefore hard to pour through the funnel. I ended up having to push it through the funnel with my finger and then using a rubber mallet to get the sand to settle. But after all is said and done, the mailbox looks great at the end of my driveway, The postal carrier also likes that the door is magnetic and doesn't have to be snapped closed like my old one did.

Fantastic Alternative to Digging
We wanted to move our mailbox to the other side of our driveway for convenience. But the thought of digging a hole for the post and installing that was groan-inducing. I decided to research alternatives and came across this. We read about every review and decided to give it a try.The process of putting it together was easy. You don't need any special skills or know-how, just the ability to follow directions. Everything fit together nice and snug, all holes lined up and nothing was miss-aligned. Filling it with sand is definitely easier with two people, I wouldn't even attempt it solo unless you have no other choice. The funnel it comes work works just fine, just use a scoop or cup or something to pour your sand into it. As other reviewers stress, use sand that is 100% dry. I can't imagine using even slightly damp sand, how annoying it would be. We actually used finely crushed glass that we got from a local winery (they crush it because it can't be recycled, and we got it for free). It does make a mess to fill it, so be sure to do it outside where you don't mind sand and dust all over. There's really no cleaner way to do it, it will make a bit of a mess when filling. We carried the base out to the street first, then the post and assembled it there. Again, two people makes that easier. We put ours on the ground by first removing the grass, leveling it out, putting some crushed glass down (or sand works), then simple pavers. This brought it up in height enough to be compliant. Be very careful about that, and make sure you check into the height regulations and how high yours will be once you have it where you want it, and measure from the street up to the mailbox itself.I really like the rear opening door, that is fantastic since we live on a busy road. Size of the mailbox itself is fine for average house-hold needs. The magnetic doors open and close great. I'm not a huge fan of the red flag being on the front because I can't see it from my house to know if the mail has been taken or not, but the flag itself functions fine. If you have it pulled out, you can be confident it won't close on its own by wind or something. Even though this is plastic, I do not think it looks tacky or cheap. It looks great, plus no maintenance or worry about a wooden post rotting out.The real test will be in the winter when the state plows fly by our house and sling the heavy, gravel-laden snow. I will update my review at that time once we see how the mailbox performs. But as it is now, I feel it'll be good. If we get wind strong enough to move it or knock it down, then we have more to worry about than just the mailbox!

Quality Product
Quality product. it was well constructed, I expect it will last for years and I think some reviewers were right it could take a snowplow hit. Very easy to assemble. Took about 15 minutes to fill it, about 15 minutes to prepare the site for it and less then 15 to assemble it. All told less then 45 minutes and it was ready to receive mail. Doors have a strong magnet that looks to be very reliable. All the necessary hardware was. there. The back door makes it easy to retrieve the mail without standing in the road.

Easy Assembly & Care
Excellent product, easy to assemble and take care of. I would recommend filling with sand to keep standing up. I also incorporated it into the landscape and covering the top with flat stones. If you are looking for a Mail box with a post, that is easy to assemble with no digging, this product is for you. They also include the numbers to attach to the mailbox.

Easy assembly
I love our new mailbox! The directions confused me a little as they were on three separate pages, but once I got it sorted, it went well. Everything fit together well and easily. And it looks great! I am extra pleased that it was made in America by a company run by veterans! Will definitely be buying more products from this company and telling others about them!
