Works on Mac
Wasn’t sure if it would work on the Mac, but lo and behold it did. Perfect console cable.

Worked great and didn't need a special driver
Worked great for connecting my Windows 11 laptop to an ACP SU5000RMXLT5U UPS. Plugged in the adapter, the laptop beeped acknowledging the connection, and then I linked to the UPS to change some setting and monitor performance. No special driver was needed. Just what ever was on the factory laptop.

This was a "Life Saver"
First Visual Observations:The USB to serial adapter was small but attractive in its construction with visible labels on the corresponding LED’s. The serial port enclosure was a translucent blue.Packaging:Received the package intact, no damage was found.Product Operation:The USBG-FTDI-LED was real simple to use, plug & play installed what I needed right away on my Windows laptop. I had used this serial adapter on older modem that operated through a serial port. Although going back to 56k was a pain the data transmission from the modem connection to the laptop was on the ball and the LED’s worked appropriately. This was a life saver despite the Internet connection time with 56k.Pros:The cable adapter is long enough that it stayed where I wanted it when getting the modem set up from the laptop. The LED’s were clear and easily distinguishable do to the darker label. It is portable, coiling up the cable is no big deal and doesn't take up mu room in the bag.Cons:No cons, this is a great little device.Final Comments:Having trouble with my onboard modem, this was a life saver when having to break out the old separate modem unit to cover my Internet. The USBG-FTDI-LED Serial Adapter was inexpensive which was even better.Special Note: This review has not been solicited by the seller of this item.

Great Product
This is exactly what I needed, once you download the driver from the app provided it works exactly how it's described. Wouldn't hesitate to buy.

Worked great for connect PC to Maruson UPS, but needs a an adapter cable to plug into female DB9.
This cable allowed me to connect my Maruson UPS to my tower PC.The only bad thing is it come with 2 nuts that are not removable, which cause this cable to not be able to plug into a female DB9, so I had to buy and additional cable to connect the DB9 on the back of the UPS.This double-coversion/online UPS is a "sleeper"... the most inexpensive online UPS that actually works, including having power management software. The worst part is there is no/very little support and it is a bit noisy, but what you get is a UPS that will work with generators for a very good price. It comes with a USB-to-DB9 cable but that didn't work. My tower PC never detected it when plugged in. So I found that I needed 2 additional cables:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A6GIUZAhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AHYJWWGThe 2nd one is the main electronic conversion cable but for some reason it has screw blocks that prevent from plugging into the back of the UPS, so I had to buy the 1st one to adapt it so it could connect to the DB9 at the back of the UPS.Then I got the Winpower G2 software working on Windows 10 (for some reason Maruson buries the link, so you have to View source on their web page and find the download link). It took me a while to get the G2 software to find the UPS (the documentation is bad), but I think what made it work is there is a button that allows you to download a license and then you have to import the license file. After that the G2 software was able to find the UPS (in my case on COM7 port), and it is actually pretty nice.So it takes a bit of work to get everything working, but this is a helluva deal. I've already had one "event" where we lost main power, and it takes about a minute for the generator to kick in, but this UPS kept my tower running fine.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A6GIUZA

It's got LEDs on the status signals and they work!
I was debugging a software driver and the lights on this unit were invaluable.
