Probably the best home laser tag system out there. I had previously used a system made by Wowee that is now out of production. The problem with a lot of these systems, which don't really use lasers of course, but actually use infrared technology, is that for indoor use there were problems because the light would bounce off walls, doors, etc meaning you could shoot people without even being in the same room or pointing the gun at them. This still happens with this system, but in my experience, less so than with rival systems. The guns connect to the chest detector, which is where the batteries go. The chest plate registers hits as does the gun, with changing colours indicating how many lives you have left. The 'voice coach' aspect, where a voice from the chest plate says 'come on' etc and tells you when you are hit is novel to start with, but I find it a bit tiresome after a while, and it prevents stealthy play, although there is a headphone jack if you want to use it. The guns are relatively robust and quite sci-fi looking. My kids are enjoying this system more than the previous one we had. Overall, pretty good, although a bit pricey if you want to have more than two players. Also check out the long-range blaster, available as a separate gun, but beware that it is overpowered compared to the blasters in this two pack.

Purchased this for my brother and sister's 11th birthday along with the high-powered rifle so they have a total of 3 guns and vests. Spent this morning setting the weapons up (took 5 minutes, needs a philips screwdriver to access battery panel) and getting to grips with the system, turning the volume down and turning off the voice coach "c'mon get a move on", etc. got very tedious very quickly.We then proceeded to figure out who was going to be on whose team (all three of us rogue!) and spent the best part of an hour running round the house and garden blasting each other. At one point, one of us went upstairs with the more powerful blaster to try sniping the other two but I think because it was a bright sunny morning it struggled to detect a hit more than about 20 feet / 6.5 meters away. At one point we were convinced one of the weapon/packs was not working correctly but it was simply because I kept 'dying' and didn't realise you have to turn it off and back on again to reset.But this is an excellent feature seeing as it allows you to easily check who has won that game as no more shots are registered so there is no doubt as to who is the winner. Part of me thinks I should have got two of these 2-player sets to make the weapon distribution more fair but there's nothing fair about war and we each took our turn with the high powered rifle and it doesn't provide a massive upgrade apart from the nicer ergonomics and more responsive, tactile 'reloading'.I think this 2-player set if great value for money as it worked out at around £20 per weapon (after purchasing batteries). The true test will be battery life of the three guns and the replay value but I suspect that will be quite high. I look forward to hearing what my brother's friends make of it and whether anybody else is inspired to buy into the brand. This final point I think is what sets this system apart seeing as it can be expanded infinitely to accommodate any number of players on either team or going rogue. I look forward to many more battles to come!

These guns are awesome!! The kids love them and so do the adults!! Good quality, love the blasting sounds and the way the gun tells you how many lives you've got left. I guess they are a bit pricey, but they are worth it

Our 7 & 10 year olds were desperate for these, having played with them at a friend’s house. They’ve also played laser tag at professional set ups and so had high expectations. We were expecting the usual rubbish but these have far exceeded our expectations. Three days on, we are still on the same set of batteries and all four guns (we ordered 2 packs) are still working very well despite several hours of usage. The kids can’t fault them. If I could ask for one refinement it would be to mute all external sounds when the player has headphones on, but it’s a small gripe which reflects the amount of use they have had.

One of the guns was faulty in the first set I ordered - it was not registering shots so either the gun or the reciever at fault . Ordered a replacement - this time the on/off switch was faulty and the gun would not switch on. Looks like a fab game but unfortunately I do not recommend due to the poor build quality. Can not fault amazon - replacement was sent out next day and no hassel with return of both items.

Flipping amazing game, I'll be buying more so the whole family can join in.I got for my son for his 8th bday, the kids just love it!I think most young boys and older ones too will just love playing with this!

So much fun on it got the children playing together they were screaming with Excitement I don't think they will last long thow because the Excitement that is in play they seem to be rough on the wire it is connected to the pack on the chest and there's no consideration for a break in the wire as they play , so much joy

Amazing game , ordered 2 sets so we can play as a 4. Actually works and from quite a distance , only negative is it makes noises to alert rivals where you are (I’m too competitive)
