Weak clips
The clips that hold the pin for the microphone mount in place are next to worthless and I could probably think of at least 10 better designs for accomplishing the task, which I did while struggling to reinsert the pin back into the stand when it randomly popped out. I've had no luck setting it back in place and reading other reviews has informed me that the clips just tend to bend out of shape after a week or so, making it impossible to get back in. The arm itself is pretty nice, it has a decent range of motion but is missing a few angles that would be nice to have.I contacted the company about the issue with the clips and they told me they would replace my product for free but that I'll need to wait two weeks for it to arrive. I'm quite honestly not looking forward to the replacement as I'm fairly certain the issue will arise again, but it's a nice gesture. I'll be looking for a new arm, this time spending an appropriate amount of money for something with better quality fasteners.Edit:My replacement arrived much quicker than the two week estimation, and I'm including photos to show the comparison of the clips on my first unit to my replacement unit. As you can see, the clips should be flush with each other to work properly, but the ones on my original unit were warped and did not last very long. The clips on the replacement unit sit flush with each other, but are still a concern to me. If the first clips can be warped that badly, then it's not impossible to think that the replacement clips will also warp over time. As I stated previously, there are so many other solutions to holding this pin in place that wouldn't have increased the price of the unit and would have increased the structural integrity of it at the same time. Another issue is that the screw that holds the clips together loosens very easily with even the slightest bit of movement from the pin, which of course leads to having to tighten the pins more often than you should have to (which will probably lead to warping the clips). This would also be solved by using a more effective fastening method.All-in-all, I'm impressed by the construction of the arm and desk clamp, but extremely disappointed in the integrity of the clips for the microphone pin.Edit 2:The replacement unit has held up well since I received it. The issue with the screws loosening is still there, but tightening all the screws every one to two weeks isn't a huge problem and it hasn't caused the clips to deform like the previous unit. They also sent me an email informing me of an updated model (the screw holding the clips together has been lengthened if I'm not mistaken) that they have offered to send to me. I'm not sure when it will arrive, but I'm interested to see what affect the longer screw has on the loosening issue.

Gran brazo

Broken screw right out of the box...
UPDATE: Their CS reached out to me about sending a replacement that came the following day. I am updating my review to 5* for their great customer service and also, the previous arm, even with the random screw I threw in, has been treating me well.I would highly recommend!----I was excited to get this mic arm since my old Neewer one was wearing out and wouldn't hold well anymore at the base, but i was extremely disappointed to find a screw just randomly hanging loose off the elbow of the arm. I easily picked the screw off and noticed it was a snapped screw. The other end of it fell right off the moment I readjusted the arm to see if it could still function without it. Nope. The top half just falls. So as far as sturdiness goes: a horrible first impression.I didn't want to have to go through the hassle of returning the item so I went ahead and grabbed a new screw of the same thread at my place (but not length) and just reused its nut to secure the elbow into place.I deducted two stars for the broken elbow screw. Hopefully I'll have better luck with this thing over the next several years.Onto other details though: the arm itself doesn't screw into the base and nothing screws into it; it just plops right in, but I like that because it won't wear out like my last mic arm from trying to turn it even just the slightest bit. Although, I thought the whole arm would lift right off if I lifted the arm up a bit for readjustment but it stays seated. That's a positive. Now for stability: my mic doesn't bring the arm down so I'll give that another plus. I'll also adjust the arm back and forth and side to side and the arm stays in place. It's much easier to move back and up in contrast to my last stand since moving my mic up on my last stand would lift the arm right off the base because the area the screw would tighten over had worn down so much.I'll possibly update this review after a while of using this thing, but for now, it'll be 3* for the first impressions.
