Amazing album - my new favorite. Youn has the ability to change her vocal inflections to suit the song. She enounciates when necessary, yet growls when the situation dictates. Recording quality is excellent, and the addition of the sweedish flair for instrumentation adds to the beauty of this album. 10 out of 10 in my book, and I do not rate many that high. I hope some of her older albums are this good when I check them out as well.

Meine Rezension bezieht sich nur auf die Qualität der Vinyl Veröffentlichung.Die Pressqualität und das Master der Platte ist hervorragend. Die Platte hört sich sehr gut an und es gibt keine Probleme mit S-Lauten oder übertriebenen Bass, oder ähnlichem.Die Platte kommt außerdem in einer gefütterten Innenhülle, womit die Platte frei von jeglichen Schlieren oder Kratzern ist. Außerdem enthalten ist ein Download-Code in CD-Qualität. Dieser, sowie die gefütterte Innenhülle, ist leider bei der aktuellsten Veröffentlichung von Youn Sun Nah nicht mehr enthalten.Ingesamt eine wirklich gelungene Pressung. Ein kleines Booklet wäre nett gewesen, aber da ansonsten alles passt gebe ich volle 5 Sterne.

Vinile di ottima qualità come consuetudine per la tedesca Act. Immagine fortemente sviluppata in profondità, timbrica corretta, dinamica elevata, ottima definizione e separazione degli strumenti. La voce è veramente affascinante e, anche se in forte evidenza, mai sovrastante l'intero messaggio sonoro. Grande equilibrio generale per il contenuto artistico con interpretazioni di alto livello e qualche brano originale. Un jazz vocale d'avanguardia con tinte sperimentali in un mix tra cultura occidentale ed orientale. Notevole l'interpretazione di "Hurt" dei Nain inch nails.

Imaginez! Vous avez eu une grosse journée et vous souhaitez relaxer. Prenez votre casque d'écoute et plongez dans l'album Lento de Youn Sun Nah. La première chanson, Lento, saura vous enrouler d'une douceur qui est vraiment bienfaisante. Attention! Ce n'est ni endormant, ni lassant. Non. C'est apaisant à vous faire pousser un gros OUFFF! de bonheur et de serénité. Youn Sun Nah a une puissance et un contrôle vocal inouïe. cela lui permet de navigeur dans différents styles. À preuve la pièce suivante Lament, très engagée vocalement. Et le clou de l'album: Magico momento. Ne serait-ce que pour ce morceau, l'album vaut son pesant d'or. Youn Sun Nah est décoiffante. Quelle maîtrise de sa voix, fine comme une lame et rauque comme de l'abrasif. Évidemment c'est très personnel.Et cerise sur le sundae, elle est divinemment accompagné par Ulf Wakenius, un brillant guitariste suédois. En passant il reprend ce morceau sur son album solo du même nom. À M. wakenius se joint un accordonniste français du nom de Vincent Peirani. Jusqu'alors ce n'était pas mon instrument favori, mais c'était avant qu'il participe à l'album.Après ce Momento à l'emporte-pièce, Youn Sun Nah nous replongera pour quelques morceaux dans le calme avec, entre autres, Arirang chantée en coréen. C'est une mélodie dont on ne voudrait jamais vouloir se terminer. Autre bon moment est celui de Ghosts Riders In The Sky, c'est jazzé et rock à la fois.Bref, un très excellent album (si,si!!). Dans la même veine que Same Girl paru en 2010. J'espère bien vous guider, mais j'avoue que je ne suis pas objectif… je suis en amour avec Youn Sun Nah.

Ruhiger als die beiden Vorgängeralben
... doch von wunderschöner Poesie. Anfangs war ich durch meine Erwartungshaltung ein wenig enttäuscht, aber mit dem Hören gewinnt das Album. Gewohnt expressiv und bärenstark "Ghostriders in the Sky", wie auch "Lament" und Momento Magico". "Waiting" (von Lars Danielsson/Cæcilie Norby, Danielsson am Cello) ist traumhaft schön. Aber auch die anderen ruhigeren Titel des Albums sind bewegende Aufnahmen einer herausragenden Sängerinnen, einfühlsam begleitet von feinsten Instrumentalisten. "Lento" ist zwar ruhiger als "Voyage" und "Same Girl" aber - so finde ich - auf gleichem Niveau.Ergänzung (21. 11. 2015):Mittlerweile habe ich YSN zweimal live erlebt, höre ausgiebeig all ihre Alben und auch ihre Konzerte auf YouTube. Ob das nun Jazz ist oder nicht?...die Antwort interessiert mich nicht. Diese Sängerin macht, dass die Sonne wärmer scheint, Himmel und Wasser blauer, Bäume grüner werden, Vögel schöner singen, das Atmen leichter und tiefer wird, Vor einem Konzert in Bonn meinte der Moderator, der YSN bis dato noch nicht erlebt hatte, ein Freund habe ihm gesagt: "unbedingt anhören, sie zieht dir die Füße aus den Schlappen". Das ist treffender - finde ich - als in welche Schublade sie gesteckt wird. Da steht diese großartige, eigenwillige Sängerin ohnehin drüber. Und sie wird immer besser, wie auch ihre Mitstreiter im YSN-Quartett, die in der Jazzscene große Namen haben (Vincet Peirani, Simon Tailleu, und last, not least Ulf Wakenius). Das Konzert im Pariser Théâtre du Châtelet, März 2015 kann ich wärmstens empfehlen (YouTube).
