Reliable outdoor irrigation controller
This was a replacement for the same model from at least ten years ago, so installation was straightforward. The mounting screws went into the same locations in the wall. The wire connections for the power and the valve control also went into the same places. The controller is up and running, and will hopefully not need to be replaced for several years at least. The connection layout for this controller is simple and intuitive, as is the programming process.

Irritrol Rd600-ext-r Is a dandy irrigation controller.
In my Opinion Irritrol branded irrigation controllers are professional quality, even the ones made for residential use. I have one attached to the wall outside my house in the weather (Phoenix, Az). It has been there for at least 20 years and it hasn't missed a beat. This one was purchased to replace an irrigation controller on my son's house. This is a step up from my older model in that this one has a moisture sensor input (the sensor is optional, and not included) This model controls 6 watering valve stations has 3 program settings (for seasonal watering schedules), allows skip days, and if you use the moisture sensor, will skip watering when it isn't needed. Oh, and it has a 9V battery backup in case you live where you have a lot of power outages. The biggest and best feature is that they are durable and let’s face it, you don't need to upgrade this like your computer. The second best feature is it is easy to program...

The display of information on Amazon (I expect precise specs) did not tell that it is not compatible with European electricity. I had to get this information from the Irritrol customer service hotline. So I had to resend. The respective process was perfect and quick.
