Terrible design, and not very effective
This does not have an on-off switch, so you have to unplug and plug-in when you want it to be running. It is very light-weight and the power cord comes out of the top, making it very tippy (it falls over if you breathe on it). If it's really designed to use hanging, the power cord is far too short. Finally, the "just remove the bottom tray for cleaning" is pretty much nonsense, because to do so you have to turn the device upside down, and you have to have a slender screwdriver to get deep into the holes to unscrew the small screws in order to remove the tray--which, note, is already upside down, so if it HAD collected anything (it hadn't), much of that debris would have fallen out. I ran it for part of a day and evening, and it just caught two small gnats. And I got a mosquito bite. Anywhere I can reach to plug it in, the cord is very short, and unplugging and plugging in is extremely awkward. Note that many similar devices have similar design flaws, so at least you should look for one that is more effective! My advice is to first take a look at a camping/rechargeable bug-zapper lamp, which is what I'm going to try next: No power cord, reviews at least as good for effectiveness, and whattaya know, an on-off switch!

Not what's in the pictures.
Light was very dim. I set it up outside and could barely see the light on. In the beginning I thought the bulb was damaged. I used it for one day and it didn't kill one bug and my yard is full of them. There is no tray to pull out to clean the bugs off. Basically, the brush is useless. $28 for this item is very high. I would price it at $10 tops. I decided to give another Bug Zapper a try.

works well for the price
we were looking for a bug zapper for our backyard and tried this one out. It works extremely well for the price. Just a side note this one requires it to be plugged into an outlet so if you are using outside you might need an extension cord as the cord on this is not very long.

Pretty good.
I do see bugs on the wires, so I guess this zapper draws them in. Must use screwdriver and your own utility toothbrush to clean off wires. Bugs don’t drop to the bottom tray (that takes a screwdriver to open)

Don't buy it
All around a piece of garbage. When I bought it it had a bunch of good reviews. By the time I get it and open it and try to use it I realize it's useless. Wanted to return it but this covid nonsense made that difficult. Stuck with a $30 paper weight now.

Not for large yards.
Not good for a large yard. It kills the bugs for sure. But if you have more than an acre it’s not that good. Less than I can see this working well.

It does not work - don't wast your money.
I have had it constantly on for more than three weeks in my bedroom and am still getting bit by bugs. Don't wast your money. I don't understand the other reviews that give it five stars.
