Makes peeling fresh eggs, easy !
I am a chicken keeper, and fresh eggs are the hardest to peel when you make hard boiled eggs. You lose half the egg trying to peel them. I used this product and I had the perfect peeled egg. I didn’t pull any of the white off. It wasn’t quite magic, but I didn’t destroy my egg while peeling it, so it is definitely worth five stars.

Trash
This tears up the eggs. I tried 5, 4, 3 ,2 and 1 egg to see if it would make a difference. It broke the shell into a million pieces and took half the egg in spots! Ugh!!!! Waste of money. I'll keep doing the way I always have, cracking on the rim of the bowl.

I LOVE This Thing!!
This thing is SO simple to use! 1. Add water to fill line 2. Put eggs in 3. Put cover on and lock 4. Shake for 5 seconds Now, it says you can do 5 eggs at a time. They lied on this. I tried 5 and ended up with 4 and a hard boiled yolk. I may have also shook it too hard and a bit too long. From then on I continued through 4 dozen eggs in batches of 4 at a time. Some of them, the shell would be completely peeled off. Most others, the shell would just peel off as you picked them up (SO satisfying!!). Then there was like 3 eggs that the shell needed a little prodding from my thumb. It took longer to boil and cool the eggs, than it did to peel all 4 dozen of them.

Makes Peeling Eggs SO Much Easier
When it comes to negative product reviews, especially for unconventional kitchen gadgets, it's typically a good idea to take them with a grain of salt. That is because it can be hard to know whether it is the product itself that's flawed or the human using it. But when it comes to the EZ EGGS hardboiled egg peeler, the answer is that it's probably both. Any device that requires manual use for it to work properly is prone to user error. With that in mind, here are some objective, true statements about this product: - It works - It's flawed Some of you may be reading this right now after having already used this egg peeler and thinking "hang on, I used it and it didn't work so how can you claim that it objectively does?" Well, it really comes down to how you personally define "works" and the expectations you've set. A product may not work very well, or it may work flawlessly, but either way it still "works"; it just may not have met your expectations. But some people have their expectations set SO high that when something fails to meet them precisely, they determine that the entire product is just garbage when that's just not the case. I can confidently say that the EZ EGGS peeler DOES work, but will likely disappoint you if you're expecting an egg-peeling miracle. How well this thing works for you depends on a number of factors: - Following the instructions - Technique - Patience - Culinary ability I, personally, lack ALL of these traits except for following instructions. I am a middle-aged housewife that never reached, or even aspired to reach, master chef levels of culinary ability. For example, I know how to boil and peel an egg, but when I peel them by hand they usually look like they've already been chewed. My home kitchen won't be receiving a Michelin Star anytime soon. My "technique" (if you can call it one) has always been this: boil eggs, ice bath for 20 minutes, then crack and gently (but firmly) roll around on a paper towel until the shell seems loose enough to peel. It works for me, just not 100% of the time. I'll either get the shell off perfectly within a few seconds, or I'll be sitting there picking off tiny shell pieces for a good minute or two. Picking, instead of peeling, is what leads to janky-looking ABC eggs. Getting the shell to separate from thin membrane underneath it is KEY to easy shell peeling and a smooth hardboiled egg. But that can be difficult to do when eggs are hardboiled (instead of soft or medium boiled) because that membrane can be a bit dry, especially if you let eggs cool down naturally at room temperature instead of placing them in an ice bath. Letting your eggs sit in an ice bath is still a prerequisite in order for the EZ EGGS peeler to work properly. But what does "properly" mean? It goes back to what I said about expectations... If you are a master level chef or just born gifted with egg-peeling skills, then you'll either know exactly how to use a device like this and get it to work, or you'll find it doesn't do a better job than what you can do on your own. BUT, if you are like me and serve boiled eggs that look like a dog's chew toy, the EZ EGGS peeler is life-changing. From what I understand this thing is supposed to completely remove the shell. Maybe it does, but shaking it for that long just seems like I'm doing more harm than good. I get a little anxious and just stop when I notice huge chunks of shell are missing on the eggs. At that point the entire shell is basically cracked even if it isn't fully removed. But when I take the egg out of the container, I can just peel the whole shell off in like one or two large pieces in a second. WAYYY faster and easier than if I didn't use it at all. The water inside the container seeps into the shell cracks essentially lubricating the membrane underneath as you shake it, thus making it easy to peel (or fall) off. Some people may not tolerate this product if it does not completely and perfectly remove the shell on every egg, every time. In my opinion that is an unreasonably high expectation. This is definitely not a perfect gadget and, again, it relies on manpower and technique which can also be imperfect. It's not about setting high or low expectations; it's just about setting realistic ones. Is the EZ EGGS hardboiled egg peeler going to magically dissolve shells? No, it won't. But if your technique is good, the shells will come off. And if the shell doesn't come off, as long as it is cracked all over you can just take it out and manually peel it yourself in a second or two. Big deal. In conclusion, it DOES work 100% of the time if you are just looking to make egg peeling easier. Not PERFECT, just faster and easier than trying to do it with nothing. Especially if your existing peeling skills are appalling like mine. Not to mention, I just outright hate peeling eggs and don't have the patience for it. I'd rather scramble them just to avoid the hassle. But this little device has actually encouraged, rather than discouraged, me to make hardboiled eggs again because it just saves so much time and effort. The only flaw I've found is that it isn't water tight. There is a seal, and it twists shut, but water drops do leak out from it. Mind you, it's not a TON of leakage, but I still recommend using this over a sink and wearing an apron. That's the only reason I deducted a star. Hopefully this review helped some of you out.

Not worth using
Not what I expected at all. You still have to boil and cool the eggs as normal in a pan. Then you put a couple eggs in this and shake it. The shell is supposed to come off but it only works half the time.

Wonder-Working Accessory
I had a hard time believing the claims made for this item but after a little trial and error I would not be without it. Once you get the hand of it, (and it is not hard) those hard-boiled eggs shed their peelings totally effortlessly giving me the most perfect and undamaged boiled eggs I have ever enjoyed -- and in very little time. My secret is that I steam my eggs rather than boiling them and once they are done I plunge them into an ice-water bath for 20 minutes. Then when I put them into this egg-peeling device and shake them the recommended number of times, the peels literally slide off the eggs. I am loving it and wish I had discovered it years before now. I even store my finished eggs in it inside the refrigerator. Very handy! Cleaning is a breeze!

EZ Eggs wasn't that EZ!
Peeling ability was not good. I had to peel by hand although I did follow the instructions.
