Product Description King of Kings is building on the impressive foundation set by Don Omar's previous albums, "The Last Don" and "The Last Don Live". King of Kings does feature its share of ballads, like "Muñecas," "Tu No Sabes," "Angelitos," and "Infieles." But that doesn't mean that Don Omar stops rocking out to reggaetón's eductive dance rhythm and Bachata Fixation with hard-driving tracks like "Conteo, "Bailando Sola" and Cuentale get you bumping and dancing across the dance floor. The album also includes collaborations MCs Juelz Santana, Beanie Man, and Zion. King of Kings parte de la base sólida de "The Last Don" y "The Last Don Live". The self-aggrandizing title and cover art may indicate otherwise, but Don Omar's King of Kings isn't your average reggaeton mash-up. Most genre stars (Daddy Yankee, Voltio, Wisin & Yandel) diffuse their heady personas with weak vocals, insipid lyrics, and repetitive arrangements. Omar, however, is an entirely different animal. King of Kings is a dark, adventurous journey through reggaeton, supplemented by surprising rhythms and a careful selection of collaborators. Hip-hop violinist Miri Ben-Ari adds urban elegance to "Intro-Predica," and Juelz Santana brings a genuine grit to "Conteo." King of Kings also finds Omar experimenting with creative variations on the reggaeton sound. "Ojitos Chiquitos" benefits from a moody Middle Eastern vibe, and "Cuentale" soars via a start-stop salsa hybrid. Omar slows things down during "Tu No Sabes," a piano-driven tale of heartbreak; and "Candela" incorporates reggaeton beats into a searing rock arrangement. Omar's former life as a preacher has obviously influenced his lyrics (which touch on religion, love, and life's hardships), but it's also given him a heady, passionate approach to music. There are lighter moments of standard reggaeton and dance hall, but even those simmer with intensity. Omar's vocals aren't always strong--particularly during the slower moments--but King of Kings stands tall amid so many throwaway reggaeton releases. We'll allow him a few moments of boastful frivolity. --Joey Guerra Review: One of the top 2 reggaeton albums of 2006 - I originally hated this album when I first heard it. Especially since i'd loved The Last Don. But after about 6 months I really started to dig it and now I absolutely love it. It was a shock to the system when it came out but it's clear now this was one of only two really great reggaeton albums in 2006 (a really bad year for reggaeton and 2007 has been worse so far). The other great album of 2006 was Wisin y Yandel Presentan Los Vaqueros. Tito El Bambino's Top of The Line was pretty good too. A tonne of hits came from this album - Angelito, Jangueo, Salio el Sol, Ayer La Vi, Cuentale... I think the sales tell the story... over 500000 and counting. I'm going to deviate here... I've got a real problem with reggaeton artists at the moment because they are all in the habit at the moment of releasing an album and then releasing a special edition. I'm at the point now where I refuse to buy the original release knowing that more than likely a special edition will come out with a killer extra track or two that i want. Don Omar's King of Kings Armageddon had Ayer La Vi (one of his greatest ever tracks). Los Vaqueros Special Edition has Quiero Hacerte Amor and Por El Telefono, Los Vaqueros Wild Wild Remixes includes the great track La Pared (with Don Omar and Gadiel). Luckily I waited before buying both albums and so I have purchased special edition versions of Los Vaqueros and King of Kings. Same goes for Daddy Yankee's latest album... I'm just waiting to see if a special edition comes out before I hand over money. I know that on Itunes there are bonus tracks for Big Boss. These artists need to stop playing with their listening public. Everyone knows that the first few weeks sales are critical for albums nowadays to catch fire. So I guess i'm wondering how many other people are waiting for special editions and how many people by then have forgotten about the album and have moved on and so never pay money for the CD?! Thought i'd throw this out there. Review: Envio super rapido . Articulo bien empacado en buena calidad y excelente precio. Vendedor 100% recomendado.

Not bad at all
I only know some of the songs, and previewed the album a few times, but what I've heard is good. It's not your standard, cookie cutter reggaeton with the same drums doing the same damn rhythm throughout the WHOLE album, which is a GREAT idea. Don Omar is probably the most unique "reggaeton" artists out there, and thank God he's around or the genre might be completely dead in the water.... OK and I needed to bring up the ratings for this album because of the retard who gave it 1 star because it's all in Spanish lol "DONNN!!!"

Awesome cd
I think this is the best of Don Omar cds ever. I was actually looking for the last one, where Taboo and Danza Kuduro are, but those two are the only good songs in it, so I got "King of Kings". I love every single song in this one. If you like reggeaton, this is the one.

Long live the King!
Beautiful cd. Some real good music. Package arrives undamaged, never opened, never played and sealed in it's original packaging. If you are a Don Omar fan or enjoy Reggaton music, this is a must have.

Not even close to IDon
I bought this album hoping for more music like Don Omar's Idon. I was sorely disappointed. I don't know spanish, i just like the beats of reggaeton. i say that because the lyrics may be amazing, some of the best you ever hear. I have no idea. i wanted some booty shakin music and didn't get any.

Eine sehr gute scheibe, läuft zeitweise hoch und runter, kann man gut den Frust vom Alltag los werden. Ist sehr abwechsslungreich mal etwas soft mal knallhart.
