NIV Holy Bible (Hodder Classics)

Good bible

The Bible itself is pretty thick, the pages are also really good quality. Overall, I liked it, the cover is a unique design too and for the price, it's great. The only drawback is that it's paperback, which makes it more susceptible to bending and damage.

This is just such a beautiful translation of the Bible, and one that's available at such an affordable price! The language is just so contemporary and easy to fathom! May the Lord amply bless all those who have gone into arranging for it to be available.

Initially , the cover design made me think that it would be a fancy Bible (which gives a non-serious vibe), and i will regret purchasing this over Bibles with straightforward plain-color covers with just "Holy Bible" written on it which give a serious feel. So, i first bought the ESV Economy Bible of crossway from amazon itself , which has THE straightforward unicolor (turquoise) cover with "Holy Bible" written on it. But , my heart was broken, after waiting for it to arrive after 7 days or so, only to have found a damaged cover. I wanted to so badly bring in a Bible in my home which follows a pagan religion , and no way i can show them this Bible ! I felt very sad , and i talked to God about it , and then God gave me motivation to give another try . So then I started to go through cost friendly Bibles again , and again I came accross this "Fancy" NIV Bible , but this time i thought let me give it a try .. And then I prayed to God that may it arrive in good condition . Since it was a 1-day delivery product, it arrived the next day itself , so i had to wait less that 24 hours . And guess what , when i opened the packet, i felt sooo happy , to see a healthy book with little damage that is nearly invisible , but the main realization i made was that i underestimated this "Fancy" Bible... I am so in love with this book now, that i cant stop praising it enough ... I am grateful to God for bringing this Bible into my home ... Now a quick review of the product - It is a very fat book , and the paperback quality is good ! the print is great , no complaints such as tiny font size . And the pages are opaque , and not see through , which is another plus ! There are no maps or additional articles though , and there is no red font color for the words of the Lord Jesus Christ ... But , there are footnotes for cross referrences to the Old Testament from the New Testament. GO FOR IT , YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO HAVE IT !

I know you want to know about the book quality and conditions not the story. So here is an honest opinion, i got obsessed with Christianity few months back after watching an anime called Vinland Saga. So I decided to read the Bible but all the Bible were expensive like 1k minimum but thankfully I found this book, it is good small but fat, I really liked the wave design I mean someone else can't tell it is Bible (if you want to hide it from your family like me) the words are small but it didn't bother me because it was readable. I think the paper is not to thin they r good too. Soo what do I think should you get this? Yess!! Ofc worth every penny especially for someone who knew almost nothing about Christianity and don't really read books.

It's Bible. Nothing much expected

Too small texts. Even a healthy eye vision like mine finds it hard to read. Texts are tiny and space between words are too close.

Love it ! Perfect size, chunky yes but that's fine. No print errors , lovely cover , good quality paper, thicker than normal paper within Bible's so will be a great option for anyone looking to highlight. Been looking for ages for the "right one" and turns out this is the one. Love all the references at the beginning too. Packaged and delivered with care.
