Tarot: Connect With Yourself, Develop Your Intuition, Live Mindfully Review: Very practical reference book for self-reflective, archetype-based tarot - I've been a fan of Tina Gong's work in tarot for a while, but when I saw this come out I was a little skeptical that a physical book could offer much more than was already available for free on her app and website. However, knowing the quality she puts into all her other products, I decided to try it out anyway, and it completely surpassed my expectations. While the information already available on her site gives good background on the characters of the cards and the intentions behind the smith-waite designs, the information for each card in this book feels uniquely optimized for practical use. If you're already familiar with all the cards and just need something to refer to because you haven't yet memorized the full meaning, depth, and guidance of every single card, I would highly recommend this book. Unlike other resources that can be difficult to navigate and slow to get to the point, each card entry in this book is completely saturated with concise and practical yet detailed and comprehensive information on what the card means and how it can apply to any situation. Although a very large space in each entry is occupied by a large illustration of the card, which might seem at first like a way to inflate the page number, I quickly realized when using the book that the illustrations actually make it incredibly easy to find the card you're looking for in seconds, which is more than can be said even for a lot of online resources. The card reference takes up the majority of the book, but the other resources are also very well thought out. The real life reading examples can be very useful for beginners who are just learning from textual resources aren't sure exactly how they're meant to apply the meanings of cards to real situations or tie the meanings together. I've found in the past that books which look similar to this one, with attractive minimalist art covers and simple names, often end up being a lot of rambly, space filler information without much substance, but this book turned out to be the complete opposite. The only part that takes the form of essay-like prose are the introductory chapter, which serve their purpose while being concise and to the point. The methodology of the book, which centers around a psychological, archetype-based approach to tarot, is briefly introduced in the beginning, but the substance of it can be found in the most practical possible form, embedded throughout the actual card meaning entries. The entries feature an approach you may be used to if you use the author's labyrinthos app, which involves portraying each card as chapter in the overarching story of its suite, leading in from the previous card and leading into the next, giving a strong overall context and archetypal significance to each card while acting as a mnemonic that greatly helps with memorization. However, the way the method is applied in the book definitely feels more fleshed out and optimized for practical interpretation than what is available in the app. I was also a little worried when I first heard about the book that the illustrations, which use the author's own Waite-tradition deck design, might be distracting when I use the book with different decks, but in practice I haven't found that to be the case. The overall theme of the deck used is minimalist and subtle, and feels strongly designed around the archetypes that the cards represent, so in my experience it agrees well with the Smith-Waite deck, and would probably flow well enough with any deck you use the book with. Also, the designs in the rest of the book that are inspired by this deck are breathtakingly beautiful, and especially the cover is way more beautiful in person with its vivid but subtly integrated colors and inlaid reflective stars. The cover alone feels like a spiritual inspiration for my tarot reading, similarly to how tarot decks with art that resonates with you can work better than others, and adding it into my little spirituality shelf where I store my decks and other stuff almost transforms the space, and makes me all the more eager to do tarot. Review: Excellent Book: Tarot: Connect with Yourself, Develop Your Intuition, Live Mindfully By Tina Gong - I really enjoyed this book. If you are into tarot—whether you are just starting out or have years of experience—this book is an absolute gem. It is beautifully written and goes deeper into the meaning of each card than any other tarot book I have read. The interpretations are insightful, clear, and truly help the reader understand the energies surrounding each card. The artwork is lovely and adds to the overall experience. You can tell the author took great care and time in crafting this guide. Her deep understanding of tarot shines through on every page. The title truly reflects the content. This book not only explains the cards, but also encourages personal reflection, mindfulness, and intuitive development. It is worth every penny. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended for tarot lovers at all levels.

This is the best tarot guide
THIS. THIS IS THE GUIDE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!! I had been looking to really learn tarot for about 2 years and most guide books show you a basic spread and semi-varying interpretations of the cards meanings. I didnt feel any of those guides were helpful to learn the cards or myself. THIS book however, has been amazing and I'm using the cards to reflect and journal through a difficult chapter of my life and it has been incredibly helpful. Tina Gong gives you a deeper look at each part of the tarot (the major/minor, the suits, numerology, and reversals etc) and each card has a breakdown of an interpretation, a reflection, and an action. If you have been frustrated with other books, give this one a chance!!

beautiful book with insightful info
as a graphic artist i love this book !!! a beautiful book with unusual insights into the meaning of each card. the only negative comment i have is the major arcana cards need a number before the card name... i am a beginner and the card number would be helpful. the author's info on the labyrinthos website is a little different and i usually look at both. but... buy the book!!!

Unique
This is a bigger sized hard cover book. Inside the pages & graphics are colored, making it easy on the eyes vs. just bare bones black-white ink. The interpretations are also unique. Many are traditional but there are also some cards with new perspectives. I like it! Definitely a nice book to have in my witchy library.

I'm just starting to get into learning tarot, this book caught my eye and I thought that it's pretty great! It's very informative and a good resource to have on hand, I love that it talks about the different spreads as well as on reading reversals. Love that there are different "sample readings/case studies" that helps to learn how to potentially read the cards together in a spread!

Bravo insgesamt

It has really poignant statements for both upright and upside down card pulls. I reallu enjoy that while most cards just change up their art some what but still base it odd the rider waite cards. Then all tarot begins to feel a bit monotonous. Yet when pulling these. And then simulrInatusly learning more about the deck, and bonding with it through the book, the knowledge is very powerful in fact.
