Homemade Vanilla Extract Kit

Was a Christmas gift, she loved it!

I've bought two ounces of vanilla beans from this vendor. It's my first experience using beans to make extract, and from my research the product seems excellent. The beans are moist and pliable, and smell wonderful - when my husband and I were slicing them, we kept saying, 'Gosh, this smells fabulous!!' I began to understand why Granny Clampett (Beverly Hillbillies) used 'vanilly extract' as her favorite perfume :-).We put the beans in vodka to make extract; and while it will take a year to know how well it turns out, we're very confident in the quality of the beans.

Everything to make vanilla extract is in the kit. Just need to buy and add 8 ozs. of your favorite flavor of alcohol. I used Tito's Vodka, Takes at least six months to a year to fully ferment. Easy to follow directions.

I have just finished preparing this vanilla extract for a 6 month soak. The kit is so easy to understand. Slicing open the included Madagascar vanilla beans brings an incredible aroma. I don’t even want to throw the package away just so I can open and smell it later!After attaching the snap lid to the included bottle and dropping in the beans, I poured in almost a cup of Svedka vodka. Just an occasional shake of the bottle is all I have left to do. I anticipate this will be the best vanilla extract I have ever used. I also see this being a great holiday gift too.

The vanilla beans are fresh and moist and the bottle is attractive and just the right size. Thank you for making it convienent and easy to made homemade vanilla extract. So excited!Fyi, the Kit did not include instructions as mentioned in the order.

I just love this! The bottle is great and so are the vanilla beans. I was going to buy bulk beans and bottles but buying this saves at least $1 per bottle and it comes already labeled super cute.I bought top shelf vodka and did not cut the beans. If you want quality extract, use quality vodka. I did not cut the beans because the beans can be used in baking and as I use them for baking I will replace them and as well continue to add more vodka. If you look up this recipe on the internet, it does not expire and you can just continue to use the beans and extract by just adding more. I store the bottle next to my coffee and just give it a shake once a day.I’m super excited about this and they have great customer service! I also bought one for my sister and will continue to buy them for everyone cause this makes a wonderful gift!

I have not made the vanilla extract yet, but the vanilla beans are plump and the bottle arrived in one piece.

I love making my own vanilla and with this kit you just add alcohol. High quality beans included.
