Great fidget toy, exactly as advertised...but that smell (should I be concerned?).
The chemically smell knocks it down a star. Otherwise, it's exactly as advertised. Great tactile fidget toy, which is just what I was hoping it would be.My first impression is it's a pretty nasty, if subtle smell. I wouldn't have said it's just a "rubber" smell, although that's what other reviews state. It's sitting in my lap right as I type this, and the smell is just *there*. I've washed it pretty thoroughly with soap and water and a brush, but it's not made a difference yet. I do hope it goes away, and I would like to know exactly what it is that I'm smelling/breathing in/getting on my hands. Not just what it's made of, but the chemicals used in the process of making it.But ignoring that negative, it really is a cool little fidget toy. Well, a seven inch fidget toy. :) I got the green one.

Tennis Elbow Rehab
I'm using this to work on rehabilitating a nagging case of tennis elbow. I'm not sure what brought on my symptoms, so I can't really address their cause. But, I'm hopeful that between this and an anti-inflammatory I'll get relief. This little hand exerciser is well constructed and practical. You can do a variety of exercises with one device, which is why I like it. The red junior size one I got is small enough to toss in my lunch bag and take to work. I've even used it in the car. It takes a little getting used to, to figure which holes and angles to work your various forearm muscles, so it's not perfect. But, it is very versatile. If you're working fingers for playing an instrument, this is probably not going to work. It it difficult to get the same angle as you'd use to depress a guitar string or horn valve. If you're looking to gain massive, bone-crushing grip strength, this is probably not the right tool for that either. It has a good degree of "give" to it.I'll report back as to whether it seems to be helping with the tennis elbow.

broken web first use/probably returned once before
This webbing did not hold up to its first use. I was thinking not pliable for what I needed. To stiff for my hurt forearm. Then it popped. Less than 10 mins of following the enclosed exercises. I noticed that two of the expansion joint spaces around the perimeter had paint knocked off the metal ring. Like it had been sent out before. As did the tape job to reseal the sheath/container it came in. I imagine with mail order the returns get sent back out first? It broke, or I would have kept it.

like using hand putty (which I also purchased from Amazon) ...
My OT therapist had me use this exact same item, the Power Web, and exercising with it really helped relieve the pain I was experiencing in my wrists and forearms. Of course it was combined with massage and other exercises, like using hand putty (which I also purchased from Amazon) but I remember liking how the Power Web worked. When I received the item, I noticed there were other exercises listed and have since incorporated some of them into my maintenance routine. I works for me because I can sit and watch TV while doing these exercises. The material seems strong enough to last for quite some time. Overall, I think it's worth the $28.50 price tag.

What they do in PT I do at home.
I recently suffered a traumatic injury resulting in surgery that required a plate and more than a few screws to put my shattered elbow back together again. In order to get better and regain as much mobility as possible, I ordered one of these, along with a number of other medical supplies. Whatever they do in physical therapy, I repeat at home on my off days under the therapist's guidance, advice and direction. They use a power web in the office, so I use one at home.If you purchase this, I cannot emphasize enough for you to consult with a licensed physical therapist to ensure that you are using the correct color (tensile strength) suited for your injury or whatever your goal is.The power web is sturdy, reliable and should not wear out. I use it a couple of times a day as part of my regular routine as I continue to rehab my arm.You cannot put a price tag on your health. Run it by your Physical Therapist. If they believe that this will assist you in strengthening and recovery that pick this up to help yourself along.

Excellent product, but you'll probably want more than one.
My occupational therapist introduced me to Power Web after spine surgery. I liked it so much, I bought the 7 inch Level 2 - Medium Resistance for use at home. I also took it on a trip and will never travel without it. This thing is a complete gym for the hand. It ships with a crude guide to more than three dozen exercises to strengthen the hands and wrists. As a post-surgery patient, I immediately realized that I needed the Level 1- Light Resistance 7 inch Power Web so I could comfortably do some of he exercises. Yes, these are a bit on the pricey side, but if you want to work out your hands and wrists, they are a very worthwhile investment.Jerry

Nice for strengthening and getting those harder to excersise spots
I have had this product for about a month now, been using it every day. I bought it to help me with guitar and help build up muscle and also help me be able to maneuver better with my hand. This is a GREAT product, I can get my pinky and ring finger easily enough and the exercises you can perform on this seem limitless. The fact that you can adjust the resistance by closer or farther can really help anyone who needs to build their strength back, little by little. I even have been using it for a few wrist exercises to help with that since I broke my wrist a few years back. Overall a great product.
