Extreme performance for low water pressure The Fire Hydrant Spa Short Chrome Massager Shower Head

This shower head absolutely delivers on its promise of a high pressure shower. We have average or normal water pressure in our home. I wouldn't really say we have low pressure, but I wanted something with more force than what we had. This shower head transformed our boring shower head into a prickly beatdown of a shower experience with tons of water force. Exactly as advertised! Installation: Installation was easy enough for an unskilled person like me. Seriously, I'm dangerous with a hammer. But I had the old shower head removed and the new one installed in less than five minutes. Only needed an old towel for grip and to protect the finish on the shower head and a pair of adjustable pliers. --- Pros: Adjustable levels of abuse are included in this shower head. You can adjust from hard shower to draw blood shower with just a flick of the wrist. The shower head is easy manipulated with just one hand, leaving the other hand available as a shield for your delicates against the razor water. --- Cons: If you like long hot showers, this is probably not for you. This shower head exhausts our entire 30 gallons of hot water in about 7 or 8 minutes. If you are not careful you will wet your entire bathroom with this thing. Aim it down when you are finished. --- Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and with the high quality craftsmanship of the product.

I don't often write reviews, but this product works exactly as advertised. You don't need any plumber's tape, weird wrenches, or voodoo priests to install this thing; it literally just screws on. But the real reason you're considering this shower head is your desire for water pressure. This shower head doesn't deliver good water pressure. It delivers AMAZING water pressure. It's like a fire hose of awesomeness. It's like a meteor shower of delight that will take you to the cusp of too much and dangle you there in a never-ending cycle of wonder. I can't say this shower head changed my life, because I didn't know what living was before I showered for the first time under its deluge of greatness. All hyperbole aside, this shower head is awesome and you should buy it. If it's not the best shower head you've ever used I personally authorize you to ask Ryan Reynolds for a refund. Yea, THAT Ryan Reynolds. You know he's got it; he's sitting on that Deadpool money.

I live in an apartment complex and the water pressure is awful. I’ve been here nine years where I live and I could not believe the difference when I attached this showerhead to my shower. It is strong. It is just a game changer if you have low pressure and you want a good pressure in your shower, I would buy this.

EDIT: I have revised some wording in this review based on some feedback from Take a Shower LLC. Also, as an update after a few months of using this product, my shower remains satisfying but both modes does not feel that it has as strong a pressure as it did initially. I can't say whether this is due to me simply getting used to it or whether it's something in the product itself, but it's worth mentioning. Also, after a few uses, I was able to switch modes with one hand depending on how careful I am with turning it. Regardless, I have lost count of how many times I have turned the unit to change modes only to realize I am unscrewing the entire shower head, so it is still not perfect. How to even begin...I bought this unit along with another unit from Water Management LLC (takeashower.com) after reading all the reviews out there. I wanted to make sure I was getting the right unit, so I figured I'll just pick up both and compare to see which one was legit. I received both unit on the same day, and this unit from Amazon/Take a Shower LLC immediately gave me red flags. It came minimally wrapped and in a bubble envelope, unlike the Water Management unit, which came in a box and presented like an actual product rather than something I bought from China through ebay. I took a bunch of side by side pics (Amazon/Take a Shower LLC unit on the left, Water Management LLC unit on the right) that basically tell the story, but basically, this unit didn't even have the same shape as the pictures show, felt cheap overall, and required both hands (that's right, you read it) to switch between modes when it's on/installed. On the other hand, the Water Management LLC unit felt twice as heavy, looked way more premium, and you could actually switch the modes with one hand. As I was taking these pictures, in my head, I was thinking of how I would destroy the Amazon unit so hard... That is, until I tried the units out. I tried the Water Management unit first. There are two modes only with both of these shower heads, a narrow spray of three strong streams, and a wide (quite wide and far reaching!) spread. With the narrow spraw, the Water Management unit was impressive, much better than the Speakman hotel unit I was replacing. Once I turned to the wide spray however, disappointment began to sink in. The water pressure of the wide spread was low, worse than the wide spread of the Speakman hotel unit that I replaced. The spray was wide and far reaching, but it was barely enough to rinse my hair. It definitely didn't feel satisfying....With half hearted feelings, I unscrewed the unit and went to screw on the Amazon/Take a Shower unit without much expectations. I figure they couldn't be that different in terms of performance right? After all, aside from the shape and a couple of tiny details, they are basically identical in terms of how the water comes out....Screwed it on, turned it on...hmm, the narrow spray felt a little stronger than the other unit. Mind you, the other unit's narrow spray was already strong, but this one felt a tiny bit stronger and the spray amount seems to be the same. Turned it to the wide spray...(begrudgingly with both hands, one holding the unit while the other turning the crown)...and my jaw dropped. The wide spray has the same strong wide pattern as the other unit, the difference was that the water pressure maintained it's high intensity. This is a wide spray with just as much pressure as the narrow spray! I couldn't believe it. The two units are almost identical, but somehow, this clearly cheaper unit managed to do what the "original" didn't. I spent the next half an hour examining the two units and switching out the washers/filter between the two units to try to figure out what the difference is, but I couldn't. The hole on the back side of the unit was the same size in both units and the face of the unit where water comes out of looks identical! Whatever magic is in this unit, has the power. So the conclusion is here. You got the Amazon unit that feels cheap and have some inconveniences like not being able to change modes with a single hand vs the other unit which is much more solidly built and can change modes with one hand (I believe this difference is because the ball joint is a lot looser on the Amazon unit while the crown itself is tighter, so when you try to turn the crown, the entire unit turns because of how loose the ball joint is compared to how tight the crown is...The other unit has a much tighter ball joint and a much looser crown. If someone knows how to modify this unit to do that, this would be that much closer to a perfect unit). BUT...this unit is the only unit that actually works as advertised! I have lived in many apartments as a kid and have even lived in many hotels, so I have used more than my fair share of shower head units and I have never had water pressure like this unit has provided. I am sincerely looking forward to my shower tomorrow.

Water pressure is great. Best I’ve ever had.

I am shocked it works sooooo well. My shower barely did anything with the other two shower heads i tried. Then this came in and now im actually happy when i shower again.

Great for low water pressure but it uses alot of water. Yes, it seems to alleviate low pressure water situations but it uses at least 5 gallons per minute. just be aware

I know this thing says fire hose and it's no lie. Who in their right mind would want to be hosed down every morning. I do love the pressure but the way it comes out the nozzle it's just a straight line of high pressure water hitting targeted points. If the flow was more evenly sprayed covering a larger range of one's body, it would probably be awesome. I can't hold my face up to the water coming out of the nozzle for fear of poking my eyeball out. Imagine a high pressure straight line of water hitting your eye, that's no way to start your day. I'm just not all that impressed. I love the pressure, but it kinda hurts more than it massages.

Replaced old head, no probs.

Este cabezal de ducha resolvió mi problema. After having my water lines replaced it reduced the pressure. I needed to stand so close to the lever that I often hit it turning it hot, cold or off. This shower head solved my problem.

I have given this 1 star as it came within 10 days and I was originally told it would be 4 weeks (I thought it was coming from (America). It did say it was a genuine part. Having watched the videos and read reviews I was so disappointed. Firstly, I opted for the £90 version as I thought I was getting solid metal with chrome plating but I could tell by the weight and feel that it was all plastic with chrome plating. My last shower head was solid metal with chrome plating and lasted over 10 years but now its rusting up inside and I thought it was affecting the pressure of water. So disappointed as I feel the water pressure now is just the same as my old shower head if not worse. I can't see how you can take this one apart to clean it, which means with our hard water, its not going to last. I like the style and the look of it, but that's about it. Don't waste your money on this product.

Fui muy decepcionada con este producto, el primer mes estuvo espectacular pero poco a poco fue bajando intensidad, y al tercer mes ya se le fue su poder y era como si hubiese comprado una llave cualquiera. Me quedé triste

So our shower was so bad that every time I showered i had to stay there for half an hour because of the low water pressure to feel clean. Came to Amazon and found this highly rated shower head (I got the short chrome one) and figured we’ll likely it is a hoax. Guess what ! The shower head transformed my shower. It’s such a different experience. I installed it myself which took 8 seconds and hallelujah. It is working so well. I wonder sometimes is it the same water pressure. How come it’s so much better. Anyway, this thing works. Sep 2022
