Overall worth the money but could use some improvements.First off it wasn't packed very well and ended up destroying its own box on the way to me.Second The instructions are not very clear at all,from the looks of it they've changed the design a couple of times and the instructions don't really match the product and it even says so on the instructions not to mention how bad the English translation is.Overall I was able to figure it out after assembling it wrong a couple times.I did end up having to make a modification to it to make it safer to use.The The ramp you used to load and unload your motorcycle fits on a bar on the end on one end the bar is about half the thickness so that when you put the ramp in it can't tilt out but on the other end the bar is the same thickness as the rest of the rack so if your tire gets too far on the front or back the ramp will literally flip off and drop your bike. I ended up cutting about 3/4 of an inch off of one end to make them about the same.Third this thing is earringly loud on a gravel road but even on the highway going over the sections hearing the ramp bang against the bar and ring is extremely annoying I'm going to fix this by simply putting one of those sticky backed felt pads for chair legs on the main bar of the rack so the metal can't bang together but this really should come that way from the factory they would literally cost less than $0.10 per hundred.Fourth, The straps that come with it seem very cheap and they are but they actually work really well and are surprisingly sturdy.I won't be using them since I already have much better straps but for what it's worth I've used two of them to lift a Cadillac V8... So there are quite a bit stronger than what they're rated for and more than enough further intended purpose.I also used this to haul a 2007 KLR 650 which it's supposedly 380 lb but with fluids and saddlebags pushes right against the weight limit on this rack so me and couple friend who both way over 200 lb decided we were going to "Test" it before actually trying to carry a bike down the highway (better to break it in the driveway than to total my bike out on a trip)It was able to hold about 700 lb jumping on it and trying to use it as a seesaw.It is more than starting off to haul the KLR and I'm actually impressed since it weighs almost nothing itself.Other than the above the main bar looks to be powder coated and The coating is very thick and everything else is aluminum or stainless steel so I don't think I'm going to have any issues with anything rusting down the road.

it's on the cheaper side, and it shows. sturdy enough for my relatively lightweight bike. the welds look good enough, althought they don't really line up. i'll be replacing the bolts with grade8 to be safe. DO NOT USE THE INCLUDED STRAPS! they're crappy cheap ones and don't hold the clasp shut. i almost lost my motorcycle. i use a set of ratchet straps now, works beautifully.

Got this carrier after selling my motorcycle trailer. I have a two seater Vespa-style scooter weighing about 300 lbs. This unit works perfect for my purposes attached to my Subaru Outback. The raxk can be configured to mount inside or outside the carrier. I recommend mounting it in the outside for wait access. My only quibble is the straps which seem cheap and thin. Nit a problem because I already own high quality straps that I will use, instead.

So I needed something that could carry my Sur Ron X and this does the job.The ‘meh’ part about this:I do not carry the ramp in the back with the bike, I just throw it in the trunk because I don’t feel like unscrewing and screwing it each time. Oh and another thing, the straps provided are worthless. It did come with a hitch screw and bolt but I just switched it out with a hitch pin for convenience. The material does flex a bit and it states it has a 400 something capacity but I wouldn’t push it.The good:It’s sturdy for my personal needs. My bike is roughly 115lbs. With some straps I picked up from Walmart, this thing does not move!! I do like the ramp that they gave from a design standpoint. It works. Not great but it gets the job done. This is for someone who wants exert little effort. I was happy that the ramp worked even with the Jeep being lifted.Would I recommend? Yea. I think it’s effective.

The unit works as designed some parts wouldn't fit our application and quite frankly seemed redundant. There were no directions on how to tie the motorcycle down or pointers on how to securely fasten it. The straps that were provided are a bit on the cheap side, so we used another source. The unit also came with bent hardware and after fixing the pieces realized they wouldn't fit anyways. The corners of the main parts are very sharp, its a cheaply made unit though worked to get our bike to and from the desert.

I bought this to haul my honda CRF250L rally (350lb dual sport)) dry. Wasn’t sure if it could really handle the weight, but I wanted the lightweight aluminum(over heavy steal) so I gave it a shot. Instructions weren’t great, but wasn’t too hard to figure out. Read lots of reviews about the carrier being noisy so I put a sticky furniture pad where the ramp touches the carrier during storage...drove it about 20 miles and didn’t hear a peep. I ended up using 2 ratchet straps and 2 heavier duty cam straps, instead of the ones provided. I can’t imagine transporting my bike with those 4 lousy cam straps. Next time, I’ll be using just 4 ratchet straps. All in all, the carrier is well made and worked great. Make sure you tighten down the anti-swivel sleeve(4 bolts) well and check it again after a few miles. I also had to attach it with the bolt heads on the bottom, because it wouldn’t fit with the bolts facing down. The ramp flexed a good bit when loading but returned to its shape. I’ll update this post in a few months after I get more use out of it, but as of now, if they’d just include better straps, I’d give it 5 stars. Can’t beat it for the price.

Well built, a little on the heavy side due to the 2" sq. tubing inserted into the receiver but necessary to maintain strength. One item that needs a design improvement - the sq. tube locking bracket with threaded retainers is weak. Others are "U" bolted and single metal clamp that better secures and eliminates any rack movement, also available on Amazon.
