Xcon to Icon: The Kali Muscle Story

It's a miracle... he's reading something or then The Diary Of A Wimpy Kid!!! His friend recommended this book... and his friend doesn't like to read, so i knew there was hope. My son actually asks me if he can stay up later so he can read Kali Muscle! He says the story is really interesting and he simply relates to the easy writing style and flow of the book.I have not read the book, but based on my 13 year old son...it's a WINNER!

Pros: Insightful look at the struggle of a black male living the struggle in Oakland and overcoming the odds to make it big. The everyday fight Kali went through to survive and stay out of trouble is empowering. An eye opening look at the struggle of prison life.Cons: Long dragged out and somewhat repetitive chapters of prison life.

Thai book is great but starts to get slower as you go on. I had to try to read it twice before I could finish it. Great story though.

This book is so raw. Ive been a fan of Kalis youtube channel for about 6 months now. Just buy the book, you wont regret it.

I wish it was 10 years he did just so he would tell me more. I would catch my self at times making a fist as if I was going to the yard geard up for war, the way he would tell it with all the profanaty.( being him)This guy went through some s***, thought I had it hard till I read this book. Now he needs a movie! 10 🙌

This is the life of a black male misunderstood. This is not your average American success story. Kali has been beaten and held down by an uncaring system and despite all odds, he has come through. It is how one man managed to bring himself from the bottom to the top. An American classic that every young male should read.Kali is putting those muscles to good use!

After discovering Kali Muscle and what he represented in life and in the gym in many of his videos and interviews I decided to purchase this book. There is no regrets in spending my time reading his story and understanding his background of where he is from. No matter how many times life kicked this man down he hasn't once used it as an excuse to give up. Truly inspirational in the sense no matter what, you can accomplish the goals you set yourself.

Simply written but very readable in small chunks

I really enjoyed being taken on this journey by Kali Muscle. From childhood right through to present day it keeps you entertained with Kali's own witty take on his life inside and outside of prison. I would highly recommend this book for anybody who feels they have no hope, because it will motivate you immensely. If Kali can do it so can you
