Super happy with this disk! Lost access to the Administrative password and locked up my computer. I took my tower to a repair shop where I was told that due to some encryption issues they were unable to unlock my computer, and that they had even called Dell directly and were told the same thing. I had already purchased this disk by that time, so I figured 'what the heck, I'll give it a try' - and SURPRISE I was able to get in and remove the password requirement. It was a bit more evolved than that, but the end result was that I can use my computer again! I highly recommend this disk if you need access to a locked up computer. I am no genius - I know just enough to get around, but no coding or scripts, or anything and it was a piece of cake!

Simply wouldn't work.. I have a Toshiba Satellite P105-S6147 with Windows Vista and Intel Pentium Dual Core T2060 1.6 GHz processor. When inserting the CD into the drive and setting it to boot from the CD-ROM a Blue Square Windows logo appears on the screen for a long time, and the CD-ROM drive activity light is active. Eventually I am presented with a blue error screen which says: "Recovery Your PC/Device needs to be repaired. This 64-bit application couldn't load because your PC doesn't have a 64-bit processor.... File: \windows\sytem32\boot\winload.exe Error code: 0xc000035a" If I remove the CD and boot from the hard drive everything starts normally, and I am presented with the login screen and the account for which I have forgotten my password.. Seller's website is no longer active, and the email they provide on the instruction card goes un-answered. Attempts to contact via Amazon went unanswered well. Returned item for full refund

My 20-year-old computer would not boot. I contacted Ralix support for assistance or a refund when the disk did not boot-up my system. Turns out my aged computer did not have enough RAM for the Boot Disk to operate. They said they would refund my cost for the disk. They offered to guide me through the process of scanning and repairing file system errors if I was interested. Their help was awesome and I was able to totally restore my computers operation. I decided to keep the disk for newer computers. The cost of the disk was worth far more than the support I received.

Good: ->Delivered without delays and in good working condition. ->As advertised it allows to correct booting issues. ->Really inexpensive if you take into account that buying an actual OS disk from Microsoft is over $100 and if you only have booting issues that's unnecessary. Bad: ->At least for me it did not work as expected. I had read several forums and even their own instructions online as to how the recovery would work, but it did not work that way. Instead it booted into it's own live version and only because I knew what I was doing I was able to open the cmd terminal and fix my bootloader. *However* I'm confident they can email you instructions if you get stuck, as they promise they do.

But I'm an optimist and will keep on hoping that this will, at some time work for me. Maybe this is because it will only self-boot when pretty much anything would. Or maybe not. And , actually, I haven't seen any activity . I have nothing to tell me if this thing actually has something on it. Maybe it will someday come to life and I can stop using an old fixit cd.

They provide a piece of paper with an email. Some have already uploaded a picture for that. Overall I can say that this CD only have a compilation of already free software out there to troubleshoot your computer. The difference is that they will boot into a windows environment so you can run them from them. But it won’t really fix some of the issues, some are just so you can run them from the CD, others won’t even open because you need to but the premium software. This is not a CD with a software that will help you fix your computer. I ended up making a bootable CD from my laptop on a USB and I was able to work around that. The CD, not worth my money, there is some website that explains how to use it, but it’s no brainer.

Running XP on a 20 year old DELL Desktop. Power outages knocked out the computer and it would not boot. I love this PC and wanted it fixed. After reading all the negativity on this thread I was VERY skeptical. After using this product it was worth the gamble buying it. Local guys said the boot files were corrupted so I needed a new hard drive and reinstall XP: lots of travel and $$$ and time required. No way!!! using my Newer Win 10 DELL desktop I searched out this disk, ordered and followed the instructions. Most computers are setup to boot a bootable disc from the CD drive before loading XP. So after placing the disk in the CD drive, switching it on and waiting just a few minutes my computer was completely fixed without having to wade through any menus... the disc fixed the computer requiring no user interface. What a pleasant experience!!! A product that worked as advertised, seamlessly. For my type of computer and electrical disaster problem I can highly recommend this product.

I bought this repair disk in an attempt to fix an issue with my old Dell Optiplex 755 desktop computer. The computer ran fine until I replaced the internal battery. I didn't know if this repair disk could fix the problem, but it was worth a try. I followed the disk intructions as found on the Windows Repair Disk website. The computer's issue was not solved, so I emailed the Windows Repair Disk support team. A week later, there was no reply, so I sent a second email. Today, after twelve days, no reply from Windows Disk Repair. "Please contact us....we can help you fix ANY PC issue...." they claim. But the customer support isn't there!

Unfortunately this disc runs using a windows 10 based image, (from my research) this means that it doesn't always work in restoring older Windows XP computers since the windows 10 image requires more Ram than they have available

Boots my computer up in Windows 7 and won't allow me to connect to WiFi to download windows 10. Probably better to acquire a Windows 10 specific install source.
