The Swedish super duo remains with us
The story of a US student who, having come back from studies in Sweden, brought records of Roxette with him, is well-known. The group somehow broke through in US radio stations and the improbable scenario was complete – a Scandinavian act conquering pop music world through America. The first majorly popular Swedish group since the times of Abba (and preceding the onslaught of Swedish songwriters such as Max Martin) left a solid body of work, which was reliably successful in 1989-1995. They caught the ear with excellent melodies, equally potent in uptemto and ballad territory. Their greatest singles are all here (maybe with the exception of "Queen of Rain") – uptempos "The Look", "Joyride" or "Sleeping in My Car", the ballads include "Listen to Your Heart", "It Must Have Been Love" and "Spending My Time". A fantastic trip down memory lane for the 1990's teenagers. And although singer Marie is no longer with us, her and Per Gessle's hooky music is untouched, timeless.

Wipe a way the sadness of the loss of the Roxette siinger by listening to this joyous set of tracks
While I would love to find out that there is some unrealeased material from Roxette to come and perhaps a semi-accoustic album from one of their many concerts this album of their singles will keep your feet taping and wipe away the sadness of the loss of such a wonderful singer from one of the best pop bands ever.

Constantly on in my car
I bought this used as I fancied giving it another listen and thought I'd probably listen to it once or twice then stick it in my collection to gather dust. Not so. It's been on my car stereo almost constantly since last summer (so for about 5 months) except for a week or two over Christmas when it was replaced by more seasonal stuff. I love every single song on this album and sing along happily. At this time of year (January) it reminds me of summer and gives me a great buzz on my way to work. If you used to love this stuff, give it another go. Such a happy album.

Classic quality
In 97 when I got my first really good hifi system (arcam/b&w) I could only find this cd close by for the first thing to listen to. I then sat and listened for several hours, mostly because I just felt the cd didn't need changing. I would say if you like rosette and don't own this you will love it, if you haven't really listened to many of there tracks but like the ones you have heard this is a great starting place.
