I previously bought a similar mic stand under the "Amazon Basics" brand name. That one only lasted about two years before it would no longer stay tight and stable. This one is more sturdy and I like my chances of getting more than two years out of this one.

I like the ipad holder, but I wish there was an option to hold the pad vertically. Also this was supposed to come with a mic holder and that was missing. They offered to replace the entire unit, but I really just wanted them to send me the missing piece. I ended up just buying a separate mic holder. Mostly happy with the purchase. It seems robust thus far. Edit. 11/22/20. I've been using this for 11 months now. Still holding up and working well. used for a couple gigs and weekly rehearsal. still satisfied. good stand for the price.

I wish I'd read the reviews more carefully before purchasing this mic stand, as I would've seen that the product is known to be missing the mic holder. The listing should be updated to say explicitly that there is no mic holder or recommend a mic holder should be purchased separately.

It didnt come with a MIC CLIP! I purchased this to use with a microphone. I dont want to return the item. I would like Amazon or the manufacturer to credit my account the cost ($8.07) of the clip I had to buy separately to make it a complete Christmas gift. Also the box was obviously opened, item obviously used, resealed and returned once already. I paid the new item cost!

Continued to move after being locked into place. iPad holder needs to be redesigned. Screw on attachments are not universal. Ended up returning

Overall, for the price, it works as expected. I am using this stand with a Neumann TLM103 mic and shock mount, and that combo seems to be quite heavy for this mic stand. Unless I tighten certain knobs way past hand tighten, the weight of the mic and shock mount cause certain areas of the boom arm to sag slowly over time. For someone trying to record voiceover, long sessions become challenging with the sturdiness challenges. I would recommend some sort of weight at the end of the book arm to counter this. I haven’t found the perfect balance other than tightening each knob to the extreme of hand tight.
