OrolayWomen's Thickened Down Jacket

I was searching for a winter coat I could wear during my pregnancy, but because it is my last baby, I didn't want a maternity-specific one. This coat fit the bill, and this review is specific to how it fits at 30 weeks pregnant:Pros:- I ALWAYS have trouble with coats, shirts, and jackets fitting the shoulder bc years of swimming broadened my shoulders, and I carry my weight evenly throughout, which includes across the back. Most non-knit/stretch tops/coats/jackets are always too tight across the back or ahoulders. This one is snug, but i can still comfortably move in it. It would fit a small (regular) or small (maternity) well, but it would also fit a medium (regular) if you carry your weight mostly in your abdomen/legs- SUPER warm in the torso and arms- the expandable side zippers made it possible to zip up the coat over a pregnant belly- lovely color options- so many pockets!!! Love this as a mom!- I can tell the coat will fit comfortably as a relaxed fit when not pregnant, which is what I want for post-pregnancies. If you like your coats snug, you may want to size down or keep looking.y- it does unsnap along the main zipper, but I haven't noticed it expand the fit of the coat much -mostly for accomoeating pocket content, IMO-bc I'm 5ft tall, this comes down to mid-thigh - almost knees. I love that, but i recognize it isn't for everyone-zippers run smoothlyCons:-a little difficult to sit in when zipped closed, but I think that issue is exclusive to the problem of being 30weeks pregnant. It wouldn't be an issue when not pregnant- for some reasons, my shoulders aren't warm in this coat. I can't tell if it's bc it's limited in lining/insulation there or what, but I definitely noticed my shoulders being colder on a particularly cold and windy night when my torso and arms were warm.- not a huge fan of the ribbon zipper pulls. They're easily removeable, but the zipper hardware is then smaller- i wish it hard a wind/storm flap over the coat main zipper-zippers run smoothly, but they aren't "soft". I would say they're on the sharper end, and when the side zippers are open to expand, I can feel my sleeves almost catching on the open teeth. So far, I haven't noticed any wear from them, but something to keep in mind at this price point.Overall, I'm really pleased with this as a maternity winter coat option that can be used in the future as a regular coat. It is definitely designed as an oversized parka/coat, so if you like your coats snug and slimming, either size down or continue looking, this isn't the coat for you. I did order a medium and a small and returned the medium, but I wouldn't say I noticed a HUGE difference in sizes. It was most noticeable in the shoulders for how tight/snug it is. If you have slender shoulders and want a slightly more fitted look, definitely size down. Pre-pregnancy, I was 5'0", 137lb and was a true medium & size 6 in pants, and I still would've kept the small. At time of review, I'm ~160lb, and the small fits fine.

Got this on a Black Friday deal... I thought I'd test it out when the weather in Chicago dips to about 20 degrees F. Well my wish came true when freezing temps came to chicago, with highs in the NEGATIVES! I was like, perfect weather to test out this duck down with 700 fill power! The coat passed! I barely felt the cold compared to my other coats (and I get cold pretty easily)! There are some moments when I'd even sweat in this coat -- i would not wear this coat if it was warmer than 30 degrees F. lol it is that warm!I'm glad a i got a deal on this coat! My only wish is that I wish it were longer... so it would cover my thighs. Also loving the pockets -- there have been too many robberies at gunpoint here in chicago and not having to carry a purse to lessen my odds of being seen as a target is helping ease my mind!Would buy this again, if it's the same power fill and duck down, in a longer form!

Love the style! Had it sitting in my shopping cart for over a year. Finally took the plunge, ordered a M, arrived 2 weeks sooner than expected, and it was too big. That same day I ordered the grey w/o the fur ( the hood is deep) in a S and, took the navy one to ups. The grey one arrived the next day and is perfect. I can comfortably wear another layer underneath, and the sleeves are the correct length.I’m a wus when it comes to cold weather so this jacket is perfect for me. Very toasty, love all the pockets so I don’t have to carry a purse sometimes, just have to remember which pocket has what.I do wish the hood was removable, but the jacket’s reason for being is the total warmth and the furry lined hood. So if I felt I didn’t need to bundle up for blistering cold and wind, I’d probably wear a jacket I have without a hood.Bottom line, LOVE, this jacket/coat, don’t know why I waited so long to buy it.

Okay so I have been eyeing this coat for years. I finally decided to pull the trigger this year during the Cyber Monday sales. I'm so glad I did.1) It's super warm. I often have to unzip it because I'm too warm.2) All the pockets, so many pockets that I sometimes forget what pocket I put my items in.3) So many zippers, you can expand the sides of the coat if you want. Love that.4) The hood is so big and warm that I haven't had to pull it over my head because my neck is warm.5) LOVE the red. If you're going to look like a sleeping bag, you might as well make it fun.Get the coat, so worth it.

I had to return this but I love the jacket. I had tried it on at my daughter and everything fit fine. The jacket I received IMO was an irregular. The circumference of the sleeves from top to bottom was way to tight. I could not comfortably wear a sweater under the jacket bc of the sleeves. I took a picture of the Orolay package it came in. It looks to me like a label was torn away and another slapped on, not sure. In any case I love he jacket but could not wear it. I am hoping the next size is not swimming on me. Would have been 5 star but sleeves on this particular coat were a problem. I am 5'2" and 128 lbs. in a size S. New coat in M perfect! So very warm and the hood is the best!

I was hoping with all of the reviews over 20,000, that this coat would serve me well. I'm very short but very curvy so long coats are hard to fit me. I have a bubble butt and large hips and thighs and then big boobs too. This coat has zippers on the sides where my hips are to allow for more room if you unzip them but still has fabric underneath to keep you warm just loosens the coat a bit.I wore it from 4:30 til about 10:30 outside this weekend in 30 degree temps and never got cold, at least for the parts the coat covered, seems to be pretty windproof. The hood is super warm as well. Highly recommend esp if you are hard to fit into coats. I got a size medium and am a 34DDD with some added weight from the pandemic. It has so many pockets that I didn't need to carry a purse with me and they are substantial size pockets I didn't put my whole wallet in them but could have.

I gave it 5 stars due to the high quality of the item and it came beautifully packaged. Unfortunately, I am returning as it is not for me but am writing this review so potential buyers can get some idea of the fit. I found the sizing for this coat confusing. I am 5ft 2in and a small size 10. I ordered the medium based on the reviews but it comes up big on me and a little longer in length than I would like. The small probably would have been a better fit and with room to wear a chunky knit jumper underneath. It's also a weighty item which I find uncomfortable. To help buyers with the sizing I have taken photos of the measurements for the medium.

This jacket arrived SO quickly, I couldn’t believe it. I ordered it on Friday 3 Jan and was told the delivery date would be 3 Feb. Imagine my surprise when it arrived today!After reading the comments on Amazon about the sizing being too small, I ordered a size 3X. It isn’t too small at all. The sizing seems true to size but I had ordered two sizes larger to be on the safe side.The jacket in navy is absolutely GORGEOUS. The shiny orange lining and white “teddy bear”-like hood lining is FABULOUS.The jacket I received was well-made and I just fell in love with it even more. I didn’t even want to take it off!Sadly, I have to return it but I am hoping to have it replaced with an XL for a smarter look. As it is so cosy, I won’t want to wear thick jumpers underneath (or I’ll swelter) so a jacket closer in fit would be ideal.I will provide a further update once the Seller gets back to me and I receive my ideal size.UPDATE: My replacement jacket (down one size) arrived this morning and is AMAZING from the fit, colour, aesthetics to the warmth. The Seller made sure I didn’t have to wait too long and the replacement arrived on 15 Jan. Super fast!Definitely invest - it’s worth it. Looks great even on plus size women and is very well made. I’ll update again if all is not what it seems after I’ve worn it this winter.

I love this coat, I wasn’t actually expecting to like it. I have worn a famous brand winter coat for years and have recently returned a premium coat for its quality compared to price. I am over the moon with this purchase. I was looking for a warm down filled coat but wanted something a little different to a regular puffa coat. This coat is so well made, so cozy and has a brilliant hood. I would recommend this coat to anyone. I found the size chart on the US amazon site. I am 5’7” and bought a Medium. I can comfortably wear a jumper under.

Let me begin by saying that this coat is WARM! Feels like you are wrapping yourself with a super cozy blanket. I used the size chart and a quick email to Orolay to determine my size and decided to go with the LARGE. I could have easily gotten into the Medium size but I like to wear thicker sweaters and I don’t want tension in the seams. Going with the Large size means my coat has a more relaxed fit but I don’t mind that much. What I love the most about this coat is that it keeps me warmer than my regular goose down parka.Update: I’m taking off one star after my initial review. It’s been about 3 weeks since I got my coat and now I’m disappointed. First, the fit is odd. The shoulders and arms are kind of snug but the rest of the coat is too roomy even after wearing thicker sweaters. Also, I wanted to test my coat during a snowfall and noticed that some visible areas got these bizarre water stains (which look more like grease stains) from the snow that won’t come out no matter I do. I’m confused with the material of the coat which claims to be water resistant. It’s still a nice and unique design, though.

I’ve just returned from Romania where the temperature drop as low as -13 and was never cold! The style is comfortable to wear and seems to be reasonably waterproof..I didn’t get wet! My only problem was the hood could do with some way of fastening, there are press stud fastenings that are only decorative really and could have been adapted to fasten. Overall I’m very please with this coat.
