Great value and good tasting tea

I love my coffee, but... by lunchtime I'm crashing. I've read a lot about the benefits of green tea and decided to try it. Your body metabolizes the caffeine differently, so even though there is actually less caffeine in green tea than coffee, you still get the pep but don't get the crash! I'm a believer now. An added bonus for me, who usually has as much cream as coffee, us that I don't need to add cream at all like I do with coffee or black tea. Less calories and one less step to stumble through in the morning! The flavor is nice, without bitterness even if brewed strong. And I love the fresh tea from individually sealed bags so no odors or other tastes are abdorbed, and it makes for easy travel or camping trips. I've found I not only like it hot, but cold brewed with ice as well. Better than coffee in the morning, but I do still have my cuppa joe when the craving hits. I recommend this tea highly. As a side note, it also seems to hit the bladder easier than coffee or black tea. That's a plus for travel as well. "Constant Comment" update: I was searching for an Orange Spice tea to replace one I can no longer find. Constant Comment kept coming up in the search results, so I read the ingredients, and gave it a try. I am disappointed in the flavor. It is basically clove tea. There is no sweetness, no spice besides clove, and only a faint orange scent with your nose right in the cup, too faint to translate to taste. I like clove in general, but this tea fails as an orange spice replacement.

As I've always enjoyed coffee much more than tea, when it came to regular tea, most any good brand would do for the few times I had it. I actually did want to drink more tea, if only I could find one that I truly enjoyed. I then moved on to other teas recommended by people that were tea 'experts' so to speak. It was after trying some of those varieties, that I saw such a marked difference in taste and enjoyment. I was now on the path to consuming more tea!! Being health conscious and watching what I eat and drink, as well as, having a daily exercise regimen, I started to look at green tea as a daily beverage option. I had done quite a bit of reading on the subject and as I take various supplements, use protein powder, etc., I wanted to add the benefits of green tea to my regular menu. Try as I might, I wasn't able to find a green tea that had a substantial and pleasing flavor. I had tried several name brands, many of which received glowing reviews, but none excited me in the least. I found many to be very weak, despite the claims of their manufacturers. Many were even downright bitter. Well, I happened to be in a discussion one evening while out for dinner and the subject of green tea was brought up, followed by the name 'Bigelow'. I obviously had heard the name, but had never tried that particular brand and I was all ears. A number of people at the table drank it regularly. For me, as I stated previously, all the others were either weak (with very little taste), or they had a very bitter aftertaste with a almost 'dry mouth' type of effect. Enter Bigelow green tea. I ordered it here on Amazon. As soon as it arrived, I was ready to try a cup. I followed the directions perfectly when making my first cup and I was extremely happy to find a very substantial and pleasing taste with no bitterness what-so-ever. Even when I accidentally left the tea bag in the cup a bit too long, there were no adverse results. I still had a great cup of green tea. Most directions will tell you to 'not squeeze the bag', but I even tried this just to see what difference, if any, it would cause. What I found was a cup of tea that was still very pleasing in taste, just a bit stronger. Still, there was no bitterness. In conclusion, Bigelow is so very good, that it would take something very extraordinary to have myself even think of making a change. I now sit down to my evening tea, knowing the enjoyment that awaits. I truly think you'll love this tea. As to packaging, the tea-bags are packaged four to a pouch. Carefully open the foil pouch with a scissor at one end, remove a tea-bag and fold the edge of the pouch over to keep the unused tea-bags fresh. There really is no need for each tea-bag to have a separate pouch.

I've been drinking this brand of green tea for several years, after coffee started messing with my bladder. The only thing I didn't like about it was the price. I tried other cheaper brand, but they weren't as good, or I had to use two tea bags to get any flavor. Problem solved. Buy it on Amazon by the six pack.

I love this tea! It's just caffeinated enough for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up. I drink this for the anti-inflammatory benefits mainly and for a low dose of caffeine since I don't like coffee. Bigelow green tea has a nice flavor. I steep for around 3 minutes and it's not bitter at all. I like to sweeten it with a bit of honey. I definitely noticed it's helped a lot with my digestion and IBS issues. Abdominal bloating has gone away with daily drinking, so if you're looking for something to add to an anti-inflammatory diet, I'd say give this tea a shot every day. The health benefits are great.

I bought the Bigelow Green Tea after tasting how delicious the Bigelow I Love Lemon tea is. Here's a few pros and cons. Pros: Price wise - great price, $14.99 after 15% with Subscribe & Save and Free shipping for 240 tea bags comes out to around 6.2 cents each tea bag Cons: Figured they be individually wrapped like the I Love Lemon tea but it's not. These 40 count boxes are not packaged individually in foil packs but there are 4 tea bags in 1 foil pack and not resealable. Therefore, if you're not a frequent tea drinker, the tea bags might loose freshness after you open the foil pack after a few days. If you want individually packaged tea bags, you should look at the Bigelow Green Tea, 20-Count Boxes (Pack of 6). If I leave the tea bag in my cup for more than a minute, I will see loose tea particles on the bottom of my cup, leaving the last mouthful of tea undrinkable. This problem does not happen in the I Love Lemon tea by Bigelow even if I leave the tea bag in my cup for more than 10 mins. I'm not sure if there's a same problem in the Bigelow Green Tea, 20-Count Boxes (Pack of 6) because I haven't tried that yet. Taste wise - okay, same as any ordinary green tea. May 6, 2014 Well...I started another brand shortly after writing my first review but decided I want to give these another try a few months ago. I'm glad I did. No more loose particles on the bottom of the cup!!! Taste remained the same. Went from a 3 star to a 4 star now. Two cons: 1) the flavor only lasts through 1 cup. Same teabag + second cup = bland. 2) not individually packaged (still 4 teabags per foil pack) Will be purchasing again.

I’ve been drinking Bigelow Green Tea for years, and it continues to be my favorite. The flavor is smooth, consistent, and never bitter, perfect for daily drinking. This pack of 6 is a great value, and I like knowing I always have plenty on hand. My order arrived with the outer box slightly damaged, but all of the tea bags inside were perfectly intact, so no issues there. Overall, Bigelow delivers reliable quality every time, and I’ll keep repurchasing.
