Works on big cats & little cats. Safe & effective!
This flea medicine works great on both of my cats. It is easy to apply & good value. I have a playful six month old kitten who is 5 pounds & a 15 year old grumpy old man who is 25 pounds. It starts to kill fleas in 30 minutes & keeps them both flea-free for 30 days. I used to use capstar, but my little old man could not tolerate it anymore. He was having a bad reaction. So we switched to this & my kitties are happily living without fleas!

Just as effective as prescription!
It's hard to get prescription flea treatment for all 6 of my cats and this definitely helped me avoid more money than I needed to spend! I tried Frontline and Advantage, fleas are always immune to it, I got all my cats on Revolution Plus one summer when we had a really bad outbreak and it worked really well but was extremely expensive. After they were clear of fleas I took them off of treatment and they were clear until the following summer we found a few fleas on them (despite being indoor-only, we're in Florida.) We acted quickly, gave them all CapStar and decided to try Cheristin long-term, so far no more fleas and way more affordable! Obviously it doesn't offer full protection from worms or ticks but it works just as well for fleas, which is great for indoor-only cats. Advice for application: I found it helps to shave a small portion in the back of each cat's head if they allow it before applying to make sure they get a full dose (especially if long-haired) and give them treats so they stay and let it soak in as much as possible before they try to shake it off. Keep an eye on it, if it starts to drip after a few minutes you can dab off the first layer. If your cat is fiesty, try wrapping them in a blanket while applying, it calms them down a bit.

Fast acting worked on her almost immediately.
This is the second year I've had to use this product. I bought it again because it worked so well the first time. I have an indoor cat she doesn't go outside at all but my dad mows the lawn and brings fleas in on his pants and I think this is how she gets them. My own dog goes outside and doesn't get them. As soon as I put it on her within a half an hour the fleas were falling off, I actually had to brush three or four dead ones off of her face. She's been sleeping comfortably for hours now on a special blanket. I feel confident that within the next few days the problem will be over. Of course I washed her blankets and I will be vacuuming the carpet in the morning hoping to get the remaining larva or the dead ones that are on the carpet now. This is the best flea medicine I have ever used on a cat and I have had many cats throughout my life. You won't be let down.

Works great but unpleasant smell
The media could not be loaded. Great product! Cheristin got rid of the fleas from my two cats! I have tried the other competing name brand companies and none of them seem to get rid of my flea problem. I believe the fleas in my area (I live in California) became resistant to the formulas of the competing companies. Cheristin is very easy to use. All you have to do is twist the cap to open and it’s ready to use. It only needs to be applied once a month and works on both kittens and cats. The only reason I give this product 4 stars is that this product does have a VERY strong and unpleasant smell. It smells moldy and the smell will last for days. The product also leaves a greasy residue that also lingers for a few days. Other than the smell and residue I will say this is a very effective product.

Fleas multiplied rather than dying
I have used this in the past and it worked great. This time it didn't work AT ALL. Did I get an expired pack? And since neither the manufacturing date NOR the expiration date is printed ANYWHERE, how is one to know if they got ripped off for $75.00 worth of useless expired pesticide?? Guess I'll be looking for a brand that lists dates so customers actually know if their using expired useless chemicals on their cats. Since the fleas have increased instead of dying, I'm not happy at all right now.

Great for stubborn fleas in South Carolina
I live in South Carolina and the fleas here are immune to just about anything flea related on the market. I needed a fast treatment for one of my cats that refuses to allow me to use a flea comb on her. I noticed a small infestation one day and saw where she had it the worst. I tried a flea collar but it did not work and she was constantly scratching and licking herself so I had to find immediate relief. I turned to this brand because when my husband and I first got together, we got 2 cats. As kittens, they went for their shots and they gave us this to use to help with fleas (they were stray cats and did have some on them at the time). We gave it to them and noticed the fleas were literally falling off. Unfortunately, we saw adverse side effects on one of the cats. He became lethargic and just not his self. We ended up calling the phone number that was in the leaflet to report what was going on (we literally thought the stuff was poisoning our cat) but they said they would make note of the issue to forewarn other people. We didn't know that at the time, this stuff was brand new on the market, so I guess not a lot of information was known other than it did what it was supposed to do. I was worried that the issue would happen again with our other cat but I followed the instructions just as it said, to only put 3-4 drops near the base of the skull and not neck. It worked! It helped the problem and with a little bit of tweaking to remove the fleas, there were no more issues. It's a good way to get rid of fleas for the price! It's not too expensive and it actually works.
