Great for Cosmetic Repairs
I was machining some parts out of aluminum and made some minor mistakes with a milling cutter. Nothing serious; just some divots that had no effect on functionality or strength. Nonetheless, the grooves definitely detracted from the appearance, as I was planning on powder-coating the parts. I thought about welding up the grooves with aluminum filler rod and then running the parts back through the milling machine, but that seemed more trouble than it was worth. With the hi-temp Lab-metal I was able to repair the mistakes and safely powder coat the parts after filing the excess Lab-metal away. Most fillers, like body putty, can't be baked at the temperatures that powder coating cures at (400-450 degrees Fahrenheit). This material is rated for those temperatures. I found it to work very well. Using it let me save several parts that otherwise would have needed hours of rework.

a total waste of money
Half full can of rock hard product covered by some liquid. Trying to mix it just makes clumpy syrup. Probably someone else's return, a total waste of money. Beware.
