OK admit your have a hearing problem!!
I have to say I have other Sennheiser Products. A cheap light head set for the computer, and also an RS180 set, which are about ten years old and going strong. So I brought the RS195 on the strenth of my experence. I will admit my hearing is not good and my pride is not helping. My lovley daughter complained about the volume I had the TV at so these have worked. I now can under stand speach and music with out the subtitles, and the balance ajusts perfectly. Also the hearing ajustment bit which I don't truly understand but it works. The only thing for me is the ajustment on my head, but I will get that right and comfortable. Great Headphones for me, my hearing loss is about 50/10% and I have to wear aids, most of the time. But not with this setup. I have opitical out puts on my TV/DVD/BT Box so I have the best quality I can manage, and I can switch to the analog setting and notice the drop in quality, in fact its quite dramatic. The amazing thing for me is being able to hear all the sound track on a film, and injoy the sound of the music. I am looking forward to the proms this year, and also find Sky arts a joy. So I am a very satified person. I have tryed to think of a minus point but only come up with the fit on my silly head, and having to mind earrings, so I'm vain at my age!!! PS read the instructions on line at the Sinnheiser web site, it explaines the hearing ajustment.

These h/phones are simply the best on the market. Checkout the Sennheiser website.
We already have the same set for our lounge 49 inch Sony TV. This purchase is for my bedroom, where I have a 43 inch. Sony TV. (to watch my Sky Q, and soccer!). They are v. comfortable, with leather wrap around pads. Off charge they last for hours. Plug them into the optical outlet at the back of your smart TV. You can adjust the sound on the phones (or remote). If one of you has the slightest hearing impairment, they can use these super phones, whilst a partner/ husband/wife etc can listen via the tinny TV speakers, or best still a good soundbar, like the Sonos playbar/ soundbar (600pounds well spent - you will feel that you are at Old Trafford, or at the Grand Prix. They are guar. for 2yrs, but will last10! enjoy!!!

You get what you pay for - mainly!
Bought this product a couple of years ago for my music and found it to be first class regarding quality of reproduction - I hear things I've never heard before. The 1 downside to these phones is the transmission range, which frankly, for the cost, is POOR. Given IDENTICAL conditions within my house, an old pair of £15 Panasonic phones out-performs these Sennheisers hands down - hard to believe, but absolutely true!! Shame on you Sennheiser for this. Later however, needing a replacement set of phones for my TV, I have to admit that I turned to what I know - another set of RS195s. After all, one doesn't stray far from the TV so poor transmission range isn't an issue. These are costly but I would recommend them for good sound, tone adjustments, comfort of fit, and general build quality, and are perfect providing you stay close to the sound source

Good value
These are good value for what they are don’t forget they are not really expensive. They do the job very well for the tv which is why I wanted them, good fit easy to set up. They in my opinion are great value for money and the seller was very good as well

Poor quality
Pieces of plastic coating have peeled of the ear pads, caused a problem by entering my ear. Found aftermarket leather replacements, but now the headband is peeling. Sonically really good, but construction cheap and nasty. Cannot recommend and a shock as not expecting a poor quality built Sennheiser product.

Very competent head phones for the money.
Before I purchased this Sennheiser I had the HDR175 for about 5 years which was good and then I notice they had been updated to the HDR195 so I thought I’d give them a try having read all the comments. From the day I used them I’ve never looked back. Before these headphones I had a constant battle with my beloved wife on the volume of the T.V. I wonted it up she wonted down, some of you will understand what I mean. My wife s hearing is the equivalent to 20 20 vision mine at most 15 15 if that's a scale you get the gist. It’s very easy to set them up just follow the instruction and bob’s your uncle and you ready to go. The only criticism I have the ear pad cushions which do a great job disintegrated after about a couple of years meaning you have to get them replaced, no bid deal, replacement Ear Pads Cushions for Sennheiser HDR RS195 RS195 RS195. £19.66 So there you go great hearing experience and marriage saver and she who must be obeyed agrees.

Ok
My wife did tons of research and told me these were the ones for me - specifically for people who wear hearing aids. I’ve found that music on the tv is really good, but normal speech is average. I can now watch films without subtitles, so they do the job they were brought for. But, having heard how good music sounded I was a little disappointed in voice sound. I can hear ok, but expected more for a very expensive product.

I've used various wireless headphones over the years, but the Sennheiser RS 195 stands out for its sound quality, range, and tailored listening experience—especially for those with hearing difficulties or sensitivity to volume and clarity. The customizable sound modes and independent left/right balance settings are genuinely impactful. Dialogue is crystal clear, background noise is reduced, and you can fine-tune audio based on your personal hearing needs. For anyone struggling with hearing clarity during TV shows or music, this is a game changer. Comfort is also exceptional. The headphones are lightweight with soft ear cups, and they sit comfortably even after hours of use. The battery lasts for several days on a single charge, and recharging is as easy as placing them on the base station, which doubles as a stylish stand. The transmission range is excellent. I can move freely throughout the house without losing signal or experiencing audio delay. This makes a big difference compared to traditional Bluetooth headphones. I originally bought these for my father, who has age-related hearing loss. The RS 195 completely changed his viewing experience—he can now enjoy TV and music without turning the volume up for everyone else in the house. He hears clearly, and the rest of the family isn’t disturbed. If you're looking for high-quality wireless headphones with real-world benefits beyond just great sound, the RS 195 is a solid investment. It’s a premium product, but for the right user, it offers real value and comfort.

I have an old Sennheiser wireless headphone set I use for watching TV. Unfortunately they no longer hold their charge so I decided to buy this Sennheiser earbud set believing in the brand name. I'm not particularly tech savvy but have been around apps and computers, phones, etc. for a while. I found this set up to be very 'fiddly' and I seriously doubt anyone in their 70's or older will be bothered trying to get them to work. I now have them going but only just. The sound quality is dreadful and the supposed adjustments the multi lingual instructions tell you, don't really work. So I've spent a couple of hundred dollars for basically junk. Based on my experience I would recommend you don't buy them

Not wort the price , not better than other headset sound wise and fact that not wired option for when battry dies sucks. Charge strated last less and less , now its at point of maybe lasting 1hr on full charge and only have 6 months.
