Review update: Great customer service, great chair (Broken out of the box.)
Donner reached out to me about my experience and immediately offered to send a new throne. It got to me quickly and at no extra cost to me. The new throne was not broken like the previous one and was assembled quickly and easily. Donner allowed me to keep the old throne, so I'll try to make an effort to fix it, but there's no need really. The customer service is fantastic, responed quickly and rectified all problems I had. I recommended this company for the customer service alone. Now onto the the quality of the throne. There were some pictures floating around of what looks like rust on the inside of the rods, and it's true. Both of mine had that, but really doubt it's an issue. The swivel of the throne could use some oil for lubrication. As it stands the swivel is a bit stiff. Bottom line though this is a great chair. It's comfortable for its purpose, though I'll be using it all over my house. I absolutely recommend this as a cheaper alternative to more expensive thrones. If you're a beginner don't waste your money on the more expensive stuff, this will more than serve you enough. Old review: Really wanted to use this chair, but the screw hole was broken, so that when you try to unscrew it the screw would just turn without actually coming unscrewed in the hole. Very disappointing.

A bit unstable but works for the price.
So this was the first throne I bought and when people told me not to skimp, I should’ve listened. Bought this around 9 months ago or so and for the most part it’s fine. Then I started taking lessons and working the drum kit a lot more. If you’re taller and have to unwind the post a bit it’ll be unstable as heck. I’m 6’ 1” and have it up fairly high and it just wobbles. Really hard to work double bass while swaying. Update: I’ve updated my review to 4 stars as the seller reached out and offered an agreeable solution. Very good customer service to do that.

Great quality
The metal or steel components are very strong, heavy and sturdy. This throne took 60 seconds to put together. The cushion is good and comfortable enough. You can adjust this to your preferred height. I’m a heavy dude and I know this throne is solid enough for my weight. I think I hit it out of the park with this throne. Quality is good. I’ve been impressed with the Donner products I’ve bought. This is no exception. Recommended!

Twice Updated Review
Just received this throne today. Was disappointed at first, had the wobble some reviews speak of. I discovered the problem and now it's very sturdy, no wobble, and well worth the price. (So far, at least. Will update if any issues arise.) Also, the rubber feet will give your whole house the rubber stank for a few days. (Please see my attached photos and video to understand the wobble issue.) The wing bolt that locks the threaded height adjustment shaft in place is screwed in too far when these arrive. The top part, which it screws into, is actually a sleeve that slides down over the black coated part below it. It isn't meant to just sit on top of it. The wobble comes from having all of your weight on that threaded wing bolt. (And will potentially ruin the threads over time.) Back it out enough to properly seat the sleeve over the black part, then tighten it back down. Problem solved. EDIT: 2.5 weeks later. So the part that I mentioned before can begin to loosen up if you're moving around a lot, and the wobble can come back. The problem is that the silver part is supposed to lock down the threaded shaft to hold it still, but the silver part moves as well, and moving parts can't very well lock down another part to keep it from moving. It could benefit from being anchored in place with some sort of bolt, set screw, or metal dowel pin. It's still usable, just not as solid as I'd like. I find myself tightening everything back down at least once every time I play. But if you buy cheap, you get cheap I suppose. The thing is, it is "relatively" cheap, not "actually" cheap. Second Update: I noticed that the metal part of the legs has now pierced through all 3 rubber feet. The rubber is too soft. (Not to mention nit reeks to high heaven). I play on carpet, so it wasn't apparent at first, but this is a risk if you are playing on a surface, such as hardwood, that could be damaged easily. I'm dropping my rating again due to this. This throne is quickly be owing not worth the money. In hindsight, I'd spend a little more money and get something nicer and just avoid the headaches completely.

Donner's drum throne: useful, affordable, and compact
Donner has created an affordable, multi-purpose seat for drummers and instrumentalists alike. For the price, this drum throne is a great addition to your drum arsenal. It can alternatively be used as an extra seat for your band-mates. You can secure the height at four different positions using a wing nut and bolt. The throne height varies from 19 inches at its lowest position to 23 inches at its highest. I prefer thrones with a lever to adjust the height, but Donner’s method works as long as you keep track of the pieces. The seat is sturdy and doesn’t leave impressions in the faux leather cushion even after sitting for several hours of practice. The assembly of the stool is quick and only requires a screwdriver. Taking apart the product is as simple as putting it together; the end result is a relatively compact stool that’s great for traveling. Overall, I’m pleased with this product. Pros: - Sturdy legs and cushion - Compact, easy to travel with - Affordable price point - Bonus set of sticks Cons: - Only 4 height positions
