Don't let it get wet, at all
This worked great up until we had a surprise sprinkle roll through. I was able to cover the pit but it had already gotten damp. Ever since, the knob to adjust the flame is very finicky. It lights up real easy, but then doesn't stay on. You have to play with the knob, pushing it in and holding it, turning it a bit, to get it to hold. After babying it for several minutes it eventually stays on. Can't say for sure if the water damaged it or the knob is faulty. Either way, we didn't even get a year out of it before it stopped working like new. If you buy, make sure to cover this thing even if you don't think it's going to rain.

Hopeful for replacement
* Leaving the original review just for honesty’s sake, but the company made good on their word of replacing the table. They sent us a brand new fire table set and gave detailed instructions on care and maintenance. Very grateful for the customer service and hoping this one works out better. ❤️Old review: The table works really well, and looked great when we bought it. However, after using the cover on it over the winter the entire top portion of paint peeled off. It looks terrible now and there’s no way for us to get back the “concrete look” paint. They gave a small container of paint for chips, but the entire face of the fire pit peeled off, so the little jar didn’t make a dent. Super frustrating and now we’re looking to buy a different one only one winter later.Edit: the company has reached out to replace the table after seeing the images of the paint peeling off. Hopefully this one doesn’t have the same issue!
