Cards That Wow With Sizzix: Techniques and Ideas for Using Die-Cutting and Embossing Machines (A Cut Above)

One thing you have to be aware of when you order this book is: it is a book of ideas and not one of instructions. The ideas and presentation of those ideas is really well done. You also need to be aware that she uses a lot of different card stocks, patterns, and supplies. So, if you have them on hand it would be great. If not you'll have to read the book and then order them either online or from the store.

This is a good book for inspiration. However, most of the products used in the card samples are Sizzix products so don't expect to replicate in any manner without their specific products. But it's always good to have something to look at for inspiration. The items in the book can be ordered from Sizzix.

I got this book because I have a lot of different kinds of card dies and wanted inspiration for new designs. This book is just ok. They seem to use the same 3 dies throughout the whole book instead of the myriad types of card dies that actually exist. I didn't need ideas for what to do with the same die over and over, I needed to see lots of different dies with ideas of how to use designs to make them awesome. I am disappointed because the title suggests they do exactly what I'm looking for. This is what happens when they don't let you have enough of a sneak peek into the book. I miss the days of bookstores when you could actually look inside books to determine if they were going to be helpful or not. Online shopping for books just isn't like that and is not very efficient at all. Really glad I got it used and didn't pay full price, anyway. This is one book that will either end up in one of my yard sales or the pages will be cut out for use in junk journals. 😕

I was disappointed that it was pictures of projects you could do, but there were no actual instructions on what you needed to do the projects. It did not meet my expectations, but the pictures are excellent!

This is a great book and I love it, however it is NOT an instruction book. I view it more like an advertisement book that shows you what you can do with Sizzix products. Ideally the author wants you to buy the Sizzix framelits which are about $20-30 a piece. After looking at the cards for a while I figured out how to make my own templates and have made several cards. You do not necessarily need to buy the Sizzix dies. When I get a chance I'll post some pictures. Happy crafting.

Completely useless. Just pictures of cards with a small corner area telling you what dies to use (buy).No instructions, not even pictures of how to assemble.Sent back.

If you look in the book the statement is very clear what it's about, (rather than taking you through each project step- by- step, Cards That Wow with Sizzix is an idea book that will spark your creative fire, etc...etc) furthermore if you look at the book section it shows what you can except. It does give you a basic overview of written instructions...that being said, look inside (which they give) and decide for yourself if the book would be useful.

I bought this book to give me ideas in card making. I am rather new at this hobby and this book showed the cards and listed what I needed to use for each card that I make.

Das Buch hat viele guten Ideen für Karte die man hauptsächlich mit der Sizzixprodukte machen kann. Ausserdem gibt es auch u.a. neuen und originalen Ideen.

This is a lovely book with lots of illustrations, what it is not, is an instructional book with measurements etc. It is a book that basically says, buy my dies and see what can be done with them using pretty papers. If you like playing with your frame dies, and dies you have already, or are OK with free cutting, you can achieve a lot of these examples shown in the photos yourself, but obviously it is much quicker using their dies, so on the whole a great 'ideas' book.

Non mi è piaciuto particolarmente.Il libro è in carta economica e le immagini non sono lucide e patinate, ma opache. A parte questo ci sono tante idee, ma zero spiegazioni, solo una foto per ogni cards in ogni pagina e l'elenco dei materiali (leggi fustelle sizzix) utilizzati per crearla, poi ti devi ingegnare te per capire come farla.Però praticamente devi avere il portafoglio a fisarmonica per comprare circa un milione di fustelle tutte diverse e considerando i prezzi che hanno in Italia.....!!
