Not having a new unused original battery I cannot compare Kastar longevity and battery life against the Genuine Canon, however this battery does provide adequate battery life and good value. There were no issues in size, shape or fit of the battery. Interesting to note is that my family still uses four (4) PowerShot cameras when optical zoom is needed (phones that we have, or want, or can afford and probably 99% of phones in general at the time of writing do not include optical zoom, only digital zoom). We have the original Canon batteries and they work decent still. However extra batteries are always good to have as the times we use our PowerShot cameras are few and far between and the batteries deplete their charge just sitting in the camera. A highly rated off brand of batteries I purchased when I bought the cameras have now bulged and no longer physically fit into the camera body. After having a difficult time getting a bulging battery out once, we always do our best to store the camera with the original Canon battery. I wonder if these batteries will suffer the same fate? Only time will tell. Many PowerShot cameras featured a revolutionary energy efficient Backlit CMOS sensor that captured more light at higher resolution with higher chip yields (less bad sensor chips) as compared to standard CMOS. CCD sensors were and are still the go to for cheap and small sensors, but use more energy and create pictures with more noise ang grain. This translated into higher quality pictures and longer battery life at only a slightly higher cost as compared to CCD sensor cameras. These Backlit CMOS cameras are still quite good, outperforming the microscopic sensors (and often CCD) in many smart phones. There is still a huge following of Backlit CMOS sensor point and shoot cameras. As such batteries like these will continue to provide a use to those users that want them.

Charge holds great

Exact fit for the SD1000 and charger. Haven't used it enough to get battery life, but they worked well for a solid day. Camera mostly used for auto work. Come with nice plastic packaging for storage.

I purchased a 2-battery package of these Kastar batteries for my Canon SD600. I wanted a couple batteries for extra power as I went on vacation and ran out of power on the OEM battery during a full day of sightseeing. These are an exact fit for my camera. I didn't have any problems there, They drop right in with contacts at the right spots. They fit into the generic charger I use (lost the one I got with the camera) and charge as quickly as the OEM battery. Ive gone through two charge-discharge cycles and I can't tell any difference between these and the OEM that came with the camera. They do what they're supposed to do so far and I can't complain.

batteries fit perfectly in my canon powershot 400! the charger that came with my camera also works for these batteries!

The Kastar NB-4L Battery 2-Pack Replacement for Canon PowerShot was just what I needed for my Canon SD750. I hadn't used it for several years and decided to try it again. I didn't want to spend alot on a battery and found this inexpensive battery set. It charged right up and works great. It e.ven came with a spare that will be nice when I take my Alaskan Cruise.

Hard to till what batters these are. So no reviews Some batteries which were white and rechargeable were too were too big around to fit into some of my flashlights.
