MUJI Portable Eyelash Curler

This is a great little eyelash curler that fits in your purse or pocket It definitely helps with my thin lashes and I love how small it is This is a great addition to your makeup

I have rounder, smaller eyes and pretty short lashes. The standard metal eyelash curlers are not curved in a wave that sits on my lid comfortably & my corner lashes never get curled. The metal ones are also painful. They often break some of my eyelashes off, and kink instead of curl. They're annoying to travel with & always get bent or broken. The clamp part loosens over time & the little rubber pad always falls out & never seems to fit correctly again. I wanted a simpler, smaller curler that wasn't metal & was easier to travel with. I wanted one that would be gentler but still effective, and would finally fit my eyes. This one looked like all of the above, so I tried it. I was afraid the plastic might feel cheap and not work as well as the metal ones (even though those don't necessarily "work"; they're really just harsh and damaging). But, I was afraid this one might be weak and break easily. Fortunately, I was wrong. This curler ACTUALLY curls my lashes; it doesn't bend or break them. And the curl lasts. It's so nice to be able to put this in a small makeup bag & not worry about it bending. The plastic isn't flimsy and is gentle on the eyelid. Best part is that it actually fits my eye shape & size. I have nothing bad to say about this curler! It's the best eyelash curler I've ever had.

My favorite style of eyelash curler. This curler works so well on my short lashes, I'm able to get the curler right up against the base of the lashes to get a good curl. I have always had trouble with traditional lash curlers, I guess my eye is flatter than most peoples because the hard curve of the traditional curler would not work for me. This one is quite flat so sits really close to the eye. They're also super low profile which is great as I travel for work, this takes up less room in my makeup bag.

Curls your lashes super good! You don’t have to push hard, even with a gentle push I see a big difference. Just be careful, watch where you put it because if it’s too close it pinches your eye lid and hurts like heck. It’s so small and great for taking everywhere!

Best lash curler for Asian short lashes. Even the shu uemura curler pinches my eyelids but this one never does. I have flat but very fatty eyelids with straight lashes and this works so well. I have a back up but now I need a back up for the backup because they might discontinue it... lol

this curler is so so good i have naturally full long lashes that are usually too heavy to stay curled for very long and i have been searching forever to find a curler that actually keeps them up the whole day and doesn't pinch or fit weird on my eye this is after a full day of wear from 7:00 in the morning to 9:00 at night, only curling them once in the morning its also super compact and very convenient and comfortable to carry around and use super super impressed

This eyelash curler works, but it's an awkward shape for my eyes (almond shaped, medium-sized?). I have to press several times and move it around to get the curl I want. Also, the little pad part that actually curls the lashes kept coming loose. I also tried using the extra pad it came with and it still kept popping out of the curler after a couple uses. This might just be an isolated case though. I could have received a defect, but it didn't bother me enough to go through the hassle of trying to get it replaced. The curler itself is very slightly curved, much less than a typical American eyelash curler. It's also kind of short, so if you have large eyes you will definitely have to move it around a few times. Overall I would not recommend this to someone with very large or very round eyes. This product was made for Asian eyes, so it's only expected that it would work best on Asian eyes, which are typically not very large or round.

Updated review December, 2023: Every item in my previous review is still true (copied below). During the past several years, I think I have changed out my MUJI Eyelash Curler maybe three times—they have generally lasted well over a year or a year and a half of daily use. I have never needed to change out the rubber strips though and have kept them for extras should I ever actually need a replacement. What has happened is that the plastic hinge has broken so that the curler doesn't pinch closed. And once, the spring lost its springiness and it would no longer create enough pressure to curl my lashes. But at such a reasonable price, I keep a couple on hand in case I need to replace one. I do not want to be without this useful tool! Original review from when I started using the MUJI Eyelash Curler back in 2018: I've always used those ubiquitous metal eyelash curlers and have always been disappointed with how often I had to change out the rubber strips and how awkward they are to travel with. So, searching for alternate eyelash curlers and after a few trials, I finally came upon this Muji Portable Eyelash Curler and it is great! I have Asian eyes with epicanthic fold (you can look that up if you are not familiar with that term) and this curler works extremely well for me. I first curl my lashes then use a light coat of mascara. The curl lasts all day and my eyelashes curl up and out from under my eyelids. Been using daily since I purchased it in June 2018 and no signs of needing to change the rubber strip yet. Added bonuses to me: 1) The translucent white plastic lets me see exactly where my lashes and eyelids are, so it's very accurate. 2) This eyelash curler is very easy to take in my cosmetic bag for travel. It takes up very little space and isn't at all awkward like those metal curlers are. I highly recommend this product.

Who would think a tiny item like this would rule my stubborn eyelashes?! This mini boss manages to do the job so quickly and efficiently. I cannot believe how small and easy to use this tool is. If you would like to avoid unnatural eyelash perming process with chemicals and do not prefer to have that ‘ constantly surprised’ look on your face, you should invest this curler. Definitely recommended item. Another product l did not need to read the provided instruction leaflet, as it was very easy to work out how it works.. It shows you sometimes you don’t need complicated tools to achieve the best outcome. Thank you Japan!
