Turns out the sound does work perfectly.
Although I originally thought that the sound didn't work, it turns out it was my TV glitching out. The product works as advertised and I'm there for required to tell you that is great. Sorry.

good
Excellent product. It looks a bit blurry, but without it, you'd just see giant squares—like looking through a kaleidoscope with squinted eyes. So I'm very satisfied.

Works perfectly for Perfect Dark, but my TV wont show Mario Kart 64
Sound works for Mario Kart, but I can't see anything. Perfect Dark worked perfect however! Because there is clearly issues with some games, as much as it is handy, I have to give 3 stars.Edit: After checking again, it seems I was using a PAL game when I should have been using NTSC. After I used the correct one, the game worked as expected. Keep this in mind!

Do not buy under any circumstances
Did not come with the listed micro-usb cable to power the system. FRIED THE POWER SUPPLY ON MY GAMECUBE!!! Idgaf about fixable blue screen errors, this thing pulls way more power than it should and when powering on my GameCube with the converter connected to power, it shorted the power supply. I was powering on the system first, then connecting power to the converter because leaving the converter plugged in with the system off still left residual power, enough to leave the LED lit. But I forgot ONE TIME to unplug the micro-usb in between uses, hit the power button on the GameCube, and no response. Even when unplugging everything, switching cables, switching outlets. DO NOT BUYEdit: after reading a couple more one star reviews, this is a *common* issue with the system sending power back into the GameCube and frying several others.

No brainer
Was skeptical but it did exactly what it said it would. Read other reviews that say there was lag in controller reaction, didnt notice this at all. Used it tbe day it arrived to play Mario party 3 and swept the competition. No complaints.

crazy lag
This works in that the picture and sound come out of the TV, but the lag made my games almost unplayable. It's like a half second. I tried powering the device and using either aspect ratio, or another port. Nothing seems to work.
