Cute & Practical
I actually purchased it to put in my chicken coop. The girls love to listen to "something", particularly when winter bites cold and they are sequestered within the hen house with nothing to distract them. It takes their attention off the isolation and helps make the days seem better. The radio we originally had finally died, and toward then end, it wasn't getting many stations at all, maybe one or two, but to be fair, we are a rural setting, located pretty far from civilization. This one gained another three options to select from and they decided upon a Christian station for its uplifting messages and wholesome music (: It's not too small, priced within their allowance for egg production and has a decently clear speaker. We are all happy with the purchase and the girls endorsed the five-cluck rating approval (: Thanks again.

Bought 2 - Perfect for My Specific Needs
Yes, this is a cheap (some would say chinzy) radio but it is just PERFECT for my very specific needs. I was not looking for booming sound quality. I wasn't looking to break the windows of my neighbors' house or even to hear the layered quality of a Mozart concerto. I just wanted a little portable radio to play in the bathroom while I was in the shower and getting ready. Yes, it is likely the plastic "chrome" knobs will chip, and yes, it will not be a family heirloom, but the retro style looks adorable and I get my morning news and background music for an extremely cheap price.I purchased two because my new house (built in 1966) has a full bath in the hallway and a half bath off what I guess would be called the "master bedroom." I like that it has a cord but also works with batteries. I use the cord to preserve the batteries in case there is a power failure or a natural disaster. Although I wouldn't classify myself as a doomsday prepper (unlike my sister who has a garage full of enough astronaut diapers, airlocked canisters of coffee, non-electric appliances, a fuel generator, and Meals Ready To Eat to feed an army battlion), I do come from Southern California which means earthquakes and fire storms. So compared to my sister's battery powered NOAA/HAM radio system which cost more than my house in Ohio, I feel confident that this little cheap radio just may come in handy. If anything, the cute retro styling will intrigue the zombies during the apocalypse. ; )Hope this review helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

I love this cute little radio!
My old kitchen CD player/radio finally bit the dust after over a decade. I wanted something small, simple and inexpensive to replace it. I was so excited to find this little gem! I was just looking for functionality- so finding that function in an adorable vintage style was beyond all my hopes and expectations! It reminds me of the radio my grandma has in her kitchen. Makes me happy every time I see it, and it matches my eclectic vintage simplistic farmhouse decor style. The tuner is sensitive and precise, able to easily tune into a station. The antenna gets fantastic reception for FM- I haven’t tried AM. The choice of either plugging the radio in or using battery power is a great feature! I think it’s smart to have a battery powered radio for emergencies, and it’s also been handy to carry around the house with me while I do chores. The only reason I deducted 1 star (which would be only half a star if this was possible) is because the sound is a bit tinny, and the max volume isn’t terribly loud, although plenty sufficient if you are listening from the same room. For the price though, I think the quality is pretty good. It isn’t bad to listen to by any means, just not top-notch quality. (Which, again, wouldn’t be realistic at this point)I would wholeheartedly recommend this radio if you just want a simple little radio and aren’t fussy about high definition quality sound.

Great Little Radio
I purchased this radio because I wanted to listen to the radio without having to rely on an app. The sound quality is great. Reception is great. Picks up a lot of stations. The design is very cute and it’s light weight. It’s designed to look like a vintage radio. The features are very easy to use. I like to play a constant stream of music or the radio to soothe my dog while I’m out. This does just the trick. I cannot wait for beach days because I will definitely bring this along. It takes an ac adaptor or 4 AA batteries.

The On and Off button broke after 2 weeks
This radio is cute and portable which is why we ordered it. We like to listen to baseball games/music out by the pool and our wireless doesn't extend that far. The first weekend this worked fine with no problems. On the second weekend, the on and off button started going wonky and only a loud noise came out, instead of music. The next weekend it seemed fine again, as long as we are gentle with the on and off button.
