Earbuds vs IEMs
I'm reviewing the with-mic option (some ppl say the mic cord degrades sound quality, but boy is it good anyway). I'm using separately-sold memory foam eartips, which seem to help with a fuller bass sound.I'm not an audiophile or musician. Just like my music to not sound tinny or overpowered by bass. These are my 1st IEMs. I'm going to compare to Galaxy Buds plus (true wireless buds, costing over $100) and Sony MDVR6 (over-ear studio monitors, costing $80+). Sound-wise I like these KZs the best, although the Sony's come very close: I'd say for me the Sonys and KZs are "different" not one better than the other. The Buds plus in comparison are all bass, everything else both muddy and tinny at the same time.* Mic quality: haven't tested on a phone call or with a lot of background noise yet, but I need to hold the mic up close to the mic when speaking into a voice recorder app. When I do so, it's as clear as the phone's speakerphone mode, and picks up less ambient as well. Probably ok for occasional on-the-go phone calls, but not for working from home.* Difference to earbuds:Sound quality of these IEMs is GREAT at a very cheap price. But all the IEMs do is play sound and/or have a mic. Earbuds these days control your smartphone: volume, skip song, pause, read notifications aloud, etc. Also the Galaxy buds plus have a pass-through mode that lets you talk on the phone and hear your own voice quite well. So if you want those features you will want earbuds. If you want really good sound for a cheap price, go with IEMs.Cons (not faults of the product, but cons vs wireless buds):* These are wired. The Sony over-ear headphones I'm comparing to are also wired, but they have a nice coiled stretchy cable that give some freedom of movement. The KZs are meant to be plugged into a device in your pocket or strapped to you, not a tablet or pc. Move around too much with these and your table-top device is going to get dragged (or the monitors will be yanked from your ears). Conclusion:Hard to say. If I get the bluetooth adapter for these IEMs the combined price starts getting close to the price of true-wireless earbuds and earbuds can also control your phone. So for on the go, it's a toss-up whether in 2021 one can deal with a wire running from your pocket to your ear and no ability to change volume or song without getting your phone out. For at home, or at desk music listening these seem at least as good as good over the ear headphones, and have much better sound quality to wireless earbuds in the $100+ range.Compared to over-ears:I can dance and shake my head with these more than I can with over-the-ears. These don't come out. I can probably run with these, but wouldn't want to lift weights etc with a cord that can get snagged.

Good earbuds, but Bass quality is mediocre
For the price you pay I would have expected a bit more bass from these, especially given their size. I purchased similar designed ones for $39 and the bass quality surpasses these. Other than this, they are sturdy and provide decent audio. Microphone works as it should. Also seems to hold up better and more durable than other cheaper brands I've tried. 4.5/5

24 hour review Escape from Tarkov
I have used these for about 24 hour now. In all not a bad headset for the price. I am no expert on the matter. I do have a lot of time using headset/ear buds for gaming. So this review is from a gaming stand point only.Set Up: PC attached to a Fifine SC3 mixer.Used for: Escape from TarkovPro: sound is from what I can tell clean. Directional sound is not bad. I use them for playing Escape from Tarkov. I do not feel i have issues hearing where someone is while using these. Light weight.Cons: Comfort is my biggest gripe. The ear buds are on the bigger side so I found that they can cause my ears pain over long uses (1 hour plus).Recommendation: I would say i would recomend them, but if you have sensitive ears buy with caution. For the price they work for what i need them to.

Gaming Headphones? No? Surprise!
I got these to use as monitors for my DJ controller. They work as advertised for that; I'm not looking for great clarity - just something that fits in my ear and plugs into the controllerI have wireless headphones and nice speakers for gaming, but thought I'd try these out... Holy crap! COD MW sounds GREAT! Compared to my Arctis (both wired and wireless version) these KZ ZSX's provide a great depth of sound audible dimension. They're ok at preventing outside sounds, but I can still low tones from the TV in the other room with my office door shut and not playing anything.I just felt I needed to edit my post and re-iterate this. If you're into FPS, and looking for "radar" to know if someone's around you, these do the trick. I'm playing games where no one gets the jump on me... You hear their footsteps, and where they're coming from a mile away! *secret weapon*The fit is comfortable around the ears. If I had to ask for improvement, though the cord is a standard length, I wish it was a little longer so I could fit it under my shirt when plugged into the DJ controller, and have some more room to move around. As an IEM for a DJ controller - I'm a total amateur, but it's really nice not having bulky over the ear headphones to put on and off all the time.Worth the money!

amazing sound but slightly uncomfortable
they are probably the best IEM's I've had.the bump on the top of the unit may cause slight discomfort to people with smaller than average ears if not worn correctly. the weight of the IEM unit is heavy and construction seems great and the cable breaths quality. after a wide array of stress test including. going through the washer, dropping a phone that it has pugged into from 4feet and 5 feet, thrown on the ground with force, and stepped on. passed all with flying colors aside from minor cosmetic damage.needles to say if KZ continues on this path I will continue to buy from them

Little Giants
I had to buy another pair after mine broke at the gym. These sound better than my Rockit Sounds R50 which were $120. Treble is a bit intense but I was able to EQ. I can drive these right off my phone, no amp needed. I wonder what the upgrade is to these - they must sound other-wordly. For now, these are the best earphones I've ever owned.

Great sound quality for touring musician
With the right size ear foam you get a nice closed sound but if you need to hear more room ambience, pull one or both sides slightly out. Great price great sound.
