I live by the seaside so now and then things get attacked by the salty air and need replacing. I bought these handles for my front door. They are very sturdy and well made with everything you need, bar the screw driver, to fit them. I’m very happy and they look great.

It is lighter weight that the handle it replaced but seems sturdy enough and is working well. Very good value for money.

The handles were a straight replacement but it is important to double check the measurements of the existing handle as there are several different sizes available that all look the same but this really applies to any item being replaced. This applies to overall length and width and the distance between the bolt holes. The only potential problem was that the bolts may need to be shortened depending on the thickness of the doors and the threads in the 'back plate' only allowed the screws to be screwed in a couple of threads so the bolts need to be cut very accurately indeed. I would suggest that having calculated the required length one allows an extra thread or so and testing the fit. It is always possible to cut a bit more off the bolts but if they are too short new bolts will have to be purchased from somewhere. Perhaps I was unlucky with the depth of the threads cut into the back plate but I bought two sets of handles and they were both the same. The original handles had about 8mm of threads tapped into them, not the 2mm of the new ones, and deeper thread holes would have cutting the bolts to length much less of a worry.

Old handle snapped off but this replacement fitted perfectly. Very strong and looks perfect with the door.

After watching someone replace handles on three of my exterior doors, and it costing me a fortune, I decided to do this one myself. The old one broke the day after the others were replaced. It’s not hard to do and I wish I’d known that replacing the handles would have solved my problem with the others. However, you live and learn. So, I ordered this, it came today and was on the door in 5 minutes. Honestly, that’s all it took to remove the old one and install the new one. It wasn’t heavy, so no idea if it’s classed as sturdy, but it does the job on a side garage door. If it doesn’t last long, I’ll contact Amazon Customer Services who are always helpful and polite.

Came quickly and well packaged although there is a small blemish in the paint on one handle. Is inside at the bottom so will not show much and no time to return for another. Fit well and a vast improvement on the old ones which had deteriorated badly.

Came next day and literally took approx 4 minutes to install. Very impressed with them. Exact match for the remaining one on my other door. Really easy to measure as diagram on site was easy to follow. Would say they are more sturdy than the remaining handles on my other door that have been in place for 11 years. Brilliant value for money! I can open my door now with ease !
