Excellent piece of equipment to help burn calories almost without noticing.
I got this a week ago and am totally sold on it as a way to increase my activities and burn calories when I wouldn't otherwise be exercising. The Cubii is small, discreet, has a smooth motion and is pretty much silent, which is a huge advantage in an office. You position it under your desk and it's right there at your feet so it almost obliges you to use it when you sit at your desk (unlike home fitness equipment that sits forlornly in a corner waiting to be used). The motion feels very natural, and being elliptical you don't have the problem of knees hitting the underside of your desk.I have used it for four days and was able to pedal for 5-6 hours a day without feeling tired. It has eight resistance settings so you can spend time building up week by week. The video shows the elliptical motion, while the chart image, from my Fitbit (with which it integrates), shows a typical day before Cubii (left) and using Cubii (right). You can see the difference in activity very clearly. This difference means a lot more calorie burn while sitting at my desk. In fact I've tracked calorie burn with an HRM/Fitdigits and it suggests I could be burning 4-5x more calories an hour with this compared with sitting. During the time I have been using it my work has not been disrupted. Phone calls, reading, typing etc all quite normal. The app is good and I'm sure will have new features added. There is a global ranking and challenges to keep you motivated. I found it was quite easy to do 16 Cubii km a day to get into the global top-5 rankings.Overall, I'm very pleased with this as it's significantly increasing my activity time during the day. I mix Cubii with a 5km walk at lunchtime plus walks to and from the office, which is a good balance. It's easy to be active for 5+ hours a day with this and you can't say that about most fitness equipment, so I think it's a very good investment compared to a spinning bike, rower etc that will take up precious space at home. With the Cubii you just put it under your desk, out of everyone's way, and start pedalling.

Play games + This = Legs stay active and circulation keeps moving.
As a gamer, i typically spend hours on my chair in front of a screen and i do like to keep active outdoors (believe me i sometimes see the sun!)I typically used to do 200-300 cals a day, but as i sit less nowadays, i only use it during short gaming bursts of 100 cals for a daily target. So this was a no brainer. I'll start with the pro's then the con's.Pros:Smooth pedaling motion.Quite (depending on speed and setting)App - The app is clever at keeping stats, and syncs with my fitbit watch which is cool (a few hours pedaling = a few thousand steps) - i like you can make your own group and join others so see how much activity they are doing too! (a bit of a competition is always good!)Unit creep - Unless you wedge it, wedging it using something solid against a wall is what i've done.Maintains muscle mass - This is a good pro, it does strengthen and puts more muscle if you really get in to it, but if you use it casually or frantically during a racing game like i do, the blood and circulation doesn't pool around in your foot like sitting normally does, its also a good way to use it for stress relief and before sleeping.Cons:Very heavy - Surprisingly heavy and had a tough time moving this around the house, now it just stays in one place.Unit Creep - Even though the unit is heavy, it still moves forward when using it (well for me as i'm not a small person) - It does unfortunately needs wedging.Size of footprint - I just barely made it, if my feet were any bigger (UK 13) i would struggle to place my footprint on the pedals properly, sometimes i fall off, if i get too excited.Wheels - Still curious about the rubber wheels on the rubber texture mat though, due to the use so far, the rubber wheels gel or melt as i like to call it, and you have to clean this away, and the smell it leaves lingering behind isn't great.Price - Pricey for the cons, but it is heavy duty, i know it will last... (just hope the wheels don't burn up!)Noise - Quiet at first, but starts to get a range of all new weird sounds, like creaks, clicks, snaps but doesn't stop the performance and i just whack on headphones to mute them out.Overall - I love it as it keeps my legs going strong, the creep factor is annoying but you can't fight Newton's 3rd law of motion, keep it wedged, use it often and use the app! Stats are fun!

Excellent for working out, excellent customer services
Excellent for exercising whilst working. I work from home so exercise always seems like a chore - there's always something else i'd rather be doing and I can't stand the gym. When I first saw cubii I was a bit sceptical due to the high price, however after using it for 3 months I think it is worth every penny. At first I took it easy and did a mile or 2 a day - 2 weeks later I am up to 8 miles a day and have also invested in a heart rate monitor to make sure I am burning fat.Plus points:1. I get more exercise (equivalent to something like 88% of the exercise I'd get it I were walking or running - it depends how fast I go)2., The profile of the unit is very low, so there is no chance of me bashing my knees on the desk above2. I can compete against other people in the world - there are leader-boards if you choose to join groups, and it's always a nice feeling to be near the top3. Can view graphs to show my progress over the day/week/month4. Have so far dropped 1.5st since using it!Few negatives, but not bad enough to drop a star:1. The app is only OK, I mean it does the job and I've only ever had trouble connecting once, however I think the app needs a better design and more settings/options to set it up the way I want it.2. The resistance setting needs to be made on the unit itself, then you need to manually change it on the app.Edit: Had a bit of trouble with a noisy unit, their customer service is excellent and they quickly got me a new unit sent out. I am very satisfied with the level of service I received, I just wish all companies were as excellent as Cubii.
