Is this the only mainboard in this freezer?

I think so, but am not sure. My freezer would work for a day or two and then stop. I would unplug; re-plug it and it worked fine. Then in a day or two the same thing would happen. I replaced this part and now the freezer works normally.

It looks like all you have to do is pull out the old one and then snap this one in place. Is that true?

Yes, that's pretty much it - I had no trouble at all. Make sure you have the right part. My freezer was not working at all and is working great since replacing this part. Freezer is about 10 years old.
