This chocolate melter is such a great tool to have, especially for baking, dipping, or making treats. It melts chocolate evenly and keeps it at just the right temperature no more burnt or clumpy chocolate like with the microwave!It’s easy to use and clean, and it made my dessert prep so much smoother. My kids love melting chocolate just to dip their strawberries in as a snack so this is a must have!

This melting pot is fantastic. The chocolate warms up quickly and stays warm, with easy clean-up afterwards. I used Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate melting chips and mint chocolate Oreos to dip. It was an amazing combination! If you remember the Mystic Mint cookies you used to be able to buy, these taste JUST like them. So good and easy to make with this pot.

This works GREAT using regular grocery-store baking-aisle chocolate-chips. I was worried special "melting wafers" would be required, but no, regular Toll House/Kroger and Ghirardelli chocolate works just fine! I've used both semi-sweet and white chocolate chips.As per the directions, it does take about 20 minutes to melt a pot-full of it, so plan your timeline accordingly, but it keeps it melted without issue and is really easy to work with and clean. I love the plastic insert -> it makes it so much easier to clean. Popping off the residual chocolate is just as easy as it's advertised.I can't speak to the lifespan, but I imagine it's pretty simple electronics and should last a long while. I'll come back and update this if it breaks/burns out in the near future.In summary: If you occasionally play with melting chocolate, dipping or drizzling, THIS IS GREAT. My biggest regret with this, is that I didn't buy it sooner.

This is a great melting pot for chocolates. I can't ever seem to melt chocolate in the microwave. It's always ends up overcooked. Not with this. I put the chocolates in and stir and it keeps it warm so I can continue to use it without the chocolate hardening. I like the silicone pot that sits in the warmer. It's easy to clean and when you are getting to the bottom of the chocolate you can manipulate it to get an even coating. It works great.

An excellent little appliance that takes away the need for a double broiler for melting your chocolate melts. The silicone bowl cleans easily, and the units is extremely easy to use. The only thing I would add is a thermometer function.

I wanted to be able to dip my own fruit to make somewhat healthy desserts. The chocolate melted fast. Now, I learned an important lesson next. It won’t work well with frozen fruit! Take it from me and don’t waste your time or chocolate on something frozen. It made the chocolate solidify, then it had to melt again. This was no fault of the machine, this was my fault. This will work best with room temperature items.Over all this is a great little machine. Cleaned up very easy. Used a paper towel to remove as much of the left over chocolate as I could. Rinsed with really hot water then put the melting cup in the dishwasher. Tip: You don’t want to dump extra chocolate down the drain, it will clog your drain.Heating unit wipes off easily. I will be enjoying this melter for a long time.

I ordered this great little melting pot last night and it was delivered at 5am this morning. I have been a candy melt melting fool since 6:30 this morning. It melted the Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers so quickly and smoothly (picture is from before they were completely melted). It melted all of the chocolate I used perfectly. I loved the warming feature that kept the chocolate warm and easy to work with. I was able to dip the pretzels into the chocolate and then use the rest of it by pouring the chocolate into a piping bag. All without spilling any chocolate or making a mess. I am so glad that I gifted myself with this little item. I can't wait to use it for chocolate dipped strawberries! Yum!! One more thing. For the first batch I followed the instructions that came with it for cleaning and it was very difficult and time consuming. I Googled a better way to clean the insert and thankfully found a wonderful woman that suggested to just leave the chocolate on warm and pour out excess and then wipe out the rest as much as I could with a wet cloth/paper towel and then wash as usual. Since silicone takes on fragrances of dish soap I will only use a fragrance free product on the insert. I hope to get years of use out of this.

This arrived in its original packaging box, which was completely fine, BUT it wasn't even sealed shut. The only thing holding it closed was the tab feature. Nothing was missing, but I was disappointed that the Amazon employees didn't take the time to tape it closed.Amazon.....be sure your packaging is secure!
