My PetraTools HD4000 Backpack sprayer is top notch for my yard fertilization maintenance. Comfortable to wear and carry with a strong long lasting rechargeable internal battery. Very pleased with its ease of use and simple cleaning procedure. Great assortment of nozzle accessories are provided for different applications. Their web site is excellent with easy to understand and thorough How to Videos for every aspect of instructions for all their products. Great for us novices learning lawn care. My yard is coming along beautifully with fantastic results. My first few uses were precise and efficient when applying their “Neighbors Envy” liquid lawn fertilizer, Chealated Iron, liquid Dethatcher and surfactants. Petra liquid lawn products are top notch and my lawn has been rejuvenated. The more I spray the healthier it gets. After my second use of cleaning, I somehow lost the filler cap filter for the sprayer. Couldn’t find it. I looked to no avail. I then called PetraTools to order a replacement. I had the pleasure of talking to Customer Representative Christina who promptly sent a free replacement filter cap. No questions asked, just great customer service with an outstanding warranty on their backpack sprayers. I highly recommend PetraTools and Liquid products. Well what I can say is companies with good true customer service are where it’s at! Sprayers that just work and don’t leak and don’t spill down your back and again just work are great. Petra tools is by far the best sprayer over used and I’ve used tons growing up on a farm in PA and owning my own working farm now this sprayer has saved me beyond hours of annoyance that other sprayers would cause. Going on our second season now with it, we run many many tanks full through this from 2-4d to fertilizers for the lawn from Petra and other ag mixes as well as other sprays. It doesn’t hurt your back or leak down your back like nearly all other sprayers I’ve used do. That’s really the key if the comfort to the sprayer and quality. We did have a slight hairline crack in the wand not sure how it happened but again we use this on our farm so it may have dropped or got hit at some point but we contacted Petra warranty and they didn’t hardly ask any questions I showed a picture to Anne and she helped me get a replacement shipped out! Their warranty claims was the other reason I chose to buy their products. We have their 1 gallon sprayer as well and it’s great! This was not a paid review or a reimbursed review this is just me being thankful that there’s still business out there making quality products and stand behind them! The unit has adjustable pressure 40-90psi, good for spraying media you don’t want disturbed to drenching if need be, and is very effective at so many different methods due to the number of attachments given. It fits the tee jet heads as well which is a welcomed addition. The 4 gallon is a wonderful capacity to have and has allowed me to mix less. A lot of sprayers get clogged which leads to a stall in productivity. This sprayer has a filter to pour liquids through where I’ve had concoctions with biochar and microbes where I poured it through the filter, the filter caught the larger pieces, which I took out and “sprinkled” on to by hand after spraying the now micronized mixture. It’s quite the awesome companion to a wonderful gardening experience. I also love the accessory metal wand that is available as in other cases I’ve seen, such an addition makes a sprayer harder to handle as it’s heavy in the wrong places and has no adjustability. The metal wand replacement accessory they make is very sturdy but also so light. I often times think it feels lighter than the plastic one. It is also adjustable in the same way extending to almost double its size for high to reach places and the back of bushes kind of thing. The combination of this is just unstoppable and a joy to use. This company also really stands behind their products and I’m so glad I invested in their ecosystem for my vegetables, flowers, bushes and trees. I have written only a couple of Amazon reviews but I had to say something here because I have really been helped out and my needs were met completely and more. Usually I’ll buy something and that is where the support ends with the company having made the money off of me already. This company not only cares about the function of their products but the longevity of them as well. It’s shown that this backpack has completely replaceable parts in every aspect, literally everything can replaced or maintenance can be done parts down to batteries everything. I had a problem breaking a part that was necessary for the function and mentioned there was a sale at the same time which another item was included which would make it so my mom could use this too as the backpack is heavy if loaded up with water or solution. Anne from customer service was able to quickly see my frustration as I was terrified my schedules would be off and I had a big problem at hand. Anne settled my nerves and let me know I would be taken care of in the best way possible. I asked questions about another sturdier component and the one that had broken was replaced with this. I even got some nice gloves sent in the package. This is just outstanding customer service backed by a company who really cares about their products actually being productive in the hands of customers. The replacement was sent in a couple days I was so surprised at the complete efficiency and care I was given by Anne and PetraTools making me and all my friends customers for the foreseeable future. This sprayer works great! We use it everyday for about 2-3 hours. Very heavy use!!! The battery after 8 months started to fail holding a charge. I contacted Petra Tools and chatted with Christina. She quickly determined I needed to replace it. They sent out new battery right away and I will have it within the week. Top notch customer service and great product.

Good size does the job

I have only used the sprayer a couple of times but I'm quite impressed by how solid it is, it's durable and will hopefully stand up to the rigours or regular use! It is a little uncomfortable though as it's quite square, so when you fill the tank it can dig in to your lower back, I'm not worried about this though as I have some rugged foam padding to stick along the bottom which should sort it! There's a good range of accessories and nozzles so I should have the kit for every different job I encounter. Still early days but I'm really impressed by the price and build, would highly recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing! 😁👍

I finally got around to using the backpack sprayer. The machine charged up well. The dial allows you to select the strength. This is being used to spray dormant oil on apple trees. The nozzle is adjustable. This is way better than the pump sprayers I had been using over the years and the sprayer completely covered the trees. It does use up the liquid but it aerosolizes the solution well. Make sure you wear an N95 mask and stay down wind of this machine. The pack does have some weight to it before you add the spray solution. Over all this is a good back sprayer that can be used for many different uses.
