Outstanding Coverage of a Pioneer Series of Cruiser Tanks
British Cruiser Tank A13 Mk.I and Mk.II is beyond question the finest work on this series of vehicles ever published. As an author on armour myself and a fervent reader on the topic I can only say that this book sets the standard on coverage. There are over 140 photos, most unpublished and all described in detail. There are seven 1/35 scale drawings of the various marks, all exact and precise. There are also 27 full colour plates illustrating vehicles from the BEF in France in 1940 at the vehicle debut through use in Britain to the end of operational use in North Africa. There are also many interesting photos of these vehicles in German use both in France, Germany and Russia. All in all a book worth every penny it costs.

Excellent photo survey
Peter Brown is one of the top authors on the subject of British tank development in World War II, and this book is the culmination of a series of articles written by him on the Cruiser tanks. Besides providing a detailed history of these tanks in 1939-41, the book offers an exceptional photographic survey that includes both the more familiar Imperial War Museum and Tank Museum official photos, along with a wide selection of previously unpublished photos. The book has high production values with excellent photo reproduction and first rate color artwork. A very useful book for tank modelers and tank historians!
