The Numberjacks is all about excitement, fun and learning, thinking skills, problem solving and maths. The series is aimed at helping four to five year old girls and boys to develop early maths skills, knowledge and understanding.The Numberjacks are ten small superhero numbers: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. They go about their everyday lives inside their sofa until a call comes in from a real-life child Agent, who reports a problem that needs solving. One or two of the Numberjacks fly out on location to investigate. The Numberjacks have to work out how to put things right, and thwart the dastardly intentions of the Meanies. After much fun, adventure and powerful thinking, the Numberjacks win the day - until next time. This is the second exclusive to DVD title, this time with 45-minutes of fun, adventure and learning at the British Seaside. This specially produced episode features all the Numberjacks in a highly exciting and entertaining battle to outwit all five of the Meanies. 3's escape from the Shape Japer's cave will have children everywhere breathless with excitement.The episodes Into The Teens, Famous 5s and Bad Circles are also included on this DVD. While every number gets a look-in, the writers sensibly keep the spotlight on the most familiar Numberjacks - 3, 4, 5 and 6. As usual, there's plenty of banter and excitement: the interplay between Numberjacks is one of the things that puts this series a cut above other educational programmes, and this episode is no exception. The team-ups between the Numberjacks' surreal rogues' gallery are well-handled too - though we'd have liked to see a little more of Spooky Spoon, the series' most bizarre and memorable creation. Of course the Numberjacks' adventures always have an educational element. In this story a lesson in number bonds provides an excellent reason for all the characters to get together, and your child will also learn about shape recognition, opposites and even a bit of optics! As ever, the learning is integrated very smoothly into the action so kids pick up on the maths almost subconsciously. The 45-minute lead feature has a good claim to be the best Numberjacks adventure yet (certainly it's the most epic) and it bodes well for the upcoming second series. As extras, you get three episodes from the first series - including the classic "Into The Teens", where 4 turns into the surly teenage 14. This brings the disc up to the length of a regular Numberjacks DVD, so it represents excellent value for money. Highly recommended. There is the feature length seaside adventures episode which my 5 year old loves as this is filmed in Bournemouth and all the meanies are in it! There are also 3 regular episodes which are all set in the summertime theme so it's nice to watch in the winter and reminisce. Numberjacks DVD's really do help with maths too as there is a lot of counting and addition content. So far this is the best Numberjacks DVD I have seen.

Summertime Numberjacks, a must have for Numberjacks fans
Great picture quality on this Numberjacks DVD. There is the feature length seaside adventures episode which my 5 year old loves as this is filmed in Bournemouth and all the meanies are in it! There are also 3 regular episodes which are all set in the summertime theme so it's nice to watch in the winter and reminisce. Numberjacks Fun
As my daughter is crazy about Numberjacks, we couldn't really go wrong with this video. Both children laugh aloud when watching it every time. The Numberjacks are cute little humanised number characters, who through solving problems along with their human helpers, teach young children mathematical problem-solving. It is shown on CBeebies normally, however this DVD is released by ITV. It's nice that much of it is set at the seaside in sunny weather, and all the usual mean characters that the Numberjacks defeat are present, giving lots of laughs (if only for their looks!). Recommended if your child is a Numberjacks fan, but even if they are not, they should like it.

Numberjacks all 0-9 of them.
Great buy, great dvd although all the characters and numberjacks were seen, Case was slightly broken when it came,which is a minor overlook as dvd was fine. Lots of fun watching over and over, its one long adventure which can be enjoyed.

Entertains and Educates!
This is a really neat little DVD, my son absolutely loves it. The Numberjacks do a wonderful job of both entertaining and educating. As well as the main seaside adventure, there are also 3 separate episodes on the disc as well, so there is plenty of content to keep little Numberjacks fans happy.

Fun and educational.
My 21month old little boy really liked this DVD. We had never watched number jacks before. However I found it very educational and it held my little ones attention. I am sure in time he will learn a lot from this. The numbers are part of the exciting adventure. I would recommend this item.

Numberjacks hit the beach!
My 3 year old loves Numberjacks (and his 2 years old brother likes them too). This is excellent - a feature episode featuring "all the baddies" (Quote) and some bonus episodes too. This DVD was even taken to Nursery as it couldn't be prised from his small hands. Ideal guilt-free TV - hey Numberjacks are educational right?!
