Works!
I have 5 cats. I have only seen one use this item. She loves it and I don’t really know why! I don’t put food in it. I did at first to get her interested in it but after that she just goes to town on it through out the day. It has improved her dental hygiene immensely. She no longer has bad breath and her gums are not so red. It has been a month. I get her teeth cleaned every year and she is 10 years old. This is a blessing because even after dental cleaning her breath is awful and the gums remain really swollen and red. I would recommend it. I gave it 4 stars because it has cracked and if it really breaks I would replace it because it works but it will really depend on your cat. Again I have only seen one out of 5 cats use it in my home so far. I’m just happy it ended up being her.

Durable and can be used in more ways than one, like a treat dispenser.
So my cat is very food motivated. She would get immensely fat if I didn't monitor her food intake. I got this because her breath is getting a little stinky and the only affection I get from her is an occasional lick on the nose so I wanted to tone down the bad breath a little. Because she would never ever go for the catnip packs and she prefers small soft toys I removed the catnip packed in the middle and I use it as a treat dispenser. She is also very lazy so instead of the normal treat dispenser of batting it around she will chew on it until something happens. The treats I got her (Greenies) get the biggest food related reaction out of her that I know but those treats are a little big to fall out of the hole consistently. It takes a lot of batting around and shaking, but her approach is biting through the thick rubber and crunching the treat inside to small enough pieces that it falls out easily. It was two birds with one stone and it works perfectly, much better breath. I can't say if it's because of the toothbrush or because of the Greenies which are supposed to help dental hygiene in cats but for me this product works like a charm either way. The downside is that because she is biting so HARD to get the treat to a smaller size, my poor littler shrimp got puncture wounds really fast. But it's still holding up after about a month and would hold up much better if the cat was just sort of gnawing instead of chomping. If your cat is more catnip motivated and might be down to gnaw this would be a fantastic product. If not you may try my approach and actually try to get the to do some biting

Unfortunately Unusable :/
The concept is great and the product was delivered safely and in a timely manner. My only problem is the material the toy is made from. It has a pungent smell that deterred myself and my cat. The toy is unfortunately unusable.

Junk
This is the worst piece of junk. My cat is afraid of it, and it smells and tastes of toxic plastic. I have always trusted products sold on Amazon, so I am very disappointed with this purchase.I would happily return it for refund, but have discarded the packaging.

Complete waste of money
I was really hoping this would help clean my cat's teeth but he won't have anything to do with this thing and I don't blame him because it reeks in a way that I can only describe as if citronella and burning styrofoam had a baby. The smell is so bad that it transfers to anything it touches and it takes forever to get it off your hands and even when I put my cat's favorite treats in it he still wouldn't touch it and refused to eat the treats even when I took them out. Now that I'm thinking about it there's no way something that smells this bad isn't toxic in some way and now I'm a little worried since my cat did poke at it a few times.. I hope it just stinks and really isn't toxic..

Not pet safe packaging, injures little cat mouths
Not safe for cats with existing dental issues. Too rigid and painful. Also, there is silica gel packed deep inside and I almost did not see it, which could’ve been toxic and fatal. Not pet safe.

Would Recommend
I bought this for my big boy cat for dental hygiene. Of course he wants nothing to do with it. My little girl kitty is crazy mad obsessed with it though. She carries it around with her wherever she goes! Cats are always hit or miss but it's a hit in my house. The toy itself seems of study material. Bella hasn't chewed any bits and pieces off yet. It comes with an optional bell you can place inside as well as a catnip refill. The bell isn't very loud which is nice.

Kitten won’t touch it.
So far my kitten won’t touch it. Tried with the bell, catnip, and treats. Also, I thought maybe the head was hinged or something to put treats and stuff in but it’s just a hole. Once the bell is in there I don’t think you can get it out, tight fit. Putting the catnip in is a bit more difficult than it needs to be as well. As for the treats, good luck. I put a few standard size treats in and they fell out immediately, the hole is too big for treats. This is not an interactive puzzle toy as the treats do not stay in for him to find. :( Overall, I’m incredibly disappointed in this one. I thought the catnip was supposed to cause the kitty to want to chew on it but it just didn’t.Will update if all the sudden he decides to play with it but for me it was a waste of money.Edit 3/2/21: still won’t touch it. Kind of a garbage toy.Edit 6/24/21: still hates it. Trying to give it away.
