Guitar Player Kindle Edition

There are tabs for teaching riffs and techniques, but I find the interviews with and articles about guitarists the most interesting. The gear-head in me loves the equipment reviews, and although I NEVER thought I'd say this, I even like the advertisements. Of course, they're all guitar, recording and pro audio related. The focus of the mag seems to be a balanced combination of player and fan material for guitarists, making Guitar Player an entertainment mag that's neither too technical nor fluffy nonsense. The "value" I mentioned in the headline refers to the $12 price I paid for an entire year subscription. That may have been a temporary special rate, but the other guitar mags were much more expensive. I've been reading the print version of GP for years, but I highly recommend this electronic version. You don't have mounds of old issues pilling up and the picture resolution in extremely good, depending of course on the screen you're viewing it on. If you get a chance to check it out on a temporary or trial basis, do it. I love the mag and you may too.

I’m a 65 year old guitarist, I’ve read Guitar Player since I started. Each issue has at least one, usually more, articles that have helped me improve many difficulty aspects of my playing.

I have more than 10 years of playing guitar, I have several acoustics and one electric. And this is very useful to read, I love to read the new gear reviews, and about new artists or songs.It’s a great magazine for the price! I have the kindle edition.

I like the magazine, it has good gear roundups, but could use more critical reviews, leans more to rundown and spec type reviews, would like to see more modern Artist's interviews etc.

When GP started publication there wasn't anything else to compete with it. Now the aspiring youg guitarist has his or her pick of guitar mags, full of tab transcriptions of the latest hits and fawning interviews with pretentious guitar heros.GP has tried to stand out form these magazine by being more about music and equipment, and to have a broader view of guitar playing, and to an extent is has succeeded. You're far more likely to find a profile of an intersting Flamenco or Brazilian guitarist in GP than in one of the other mags, and while you won't find fully tabbed out songs, GP is far more likely to deliver an article that goes into some depth on theory and application. In that sense, GP is more for musicians, and the other guitar magazines are mostly for teens looking to cover their favorite bands.GP isn't always great. Some issues are completely devoid of anything that interests me, and there's far too much punk and shred guitar for my tastes. But a subscription is ridiculously cheap; I don't mind if I only find something of use in as few as half the issues I receive.

Still a great magazine. Excellent combination of articles about current and classic guitarists, along with great info on gear and lessons.

Great magazine. Read everything in it. Including the Ads. If your all about guitar You'll love this magazine. Very informative and interesting.

Guitar player has been one of my favorite magazines for decades. Now I receive the it digitally on my Amazon Fire tablet. I like it very much and I am glad I purchased the subscription through Amazon.
