Light weight & no twisting parts!!
I have a Cuisinart food processor. I have had it for several years. Works good. But is extremely heavy & the lid is not made well. To many twisting parts on it. This product seems like it is going to be SO much better. Not twisting parts!! Very light weight compared to my other one. As soon as I got it I made salsa & it worked great. I will say good bye to my Cuisinart.

great kitchen item
This works great so far. For some reason I never had one in my kitchen and realized i was passing up recipes for certain dips and such for which this item was needed. Its a kitchen basic and so i def needed one. This was a reasonable price. For every day and basic use i think anyone would be happy with this. I did find recently I was making a dip for which i wished to double the recipe b/c it was a for a large group. I had to actually make two batches and then combine. This was really not a big deal for me as it was still the same prep and just placing the items in and hitting the button. so i just did that twice. It whipped up so fast that this was in no way a deal breaker and did not make the job any more difficult. however for folks preparing for larger groups or large families all the time, they may wish to get a larger one. for me, this is perfect. a very good buy and kitchen necessity.

Best design for taking top off
What I disliked about other food processors was the clumsy twist on top. This one snaps securely, easily with one click. It's heavy duty too. The complainers probably choked the machine to death with unreal expectations. Every machine should be used with normal respect. It's also kinda cool looking.

Reasonably good
I bought this to replace my old KitchenAid processor that finally broke after 20+ year of use. I've now used it for several months and am reasonably happy with it. It is fairly easy to use and does a good job of chopping, shredding, and slicing. I like having both high and low settings. I also like the somewhat smaller feeding tube in the lid and the insert that allows me to easily shred or chop one carrot at a time while staying vertical in the tube. Storing the disks in the bowl takes up less space than the old tool storage box is nice although it can be a nuisance to remove everything but the blade I want to use. The machine is definitely less sturdily made than my old machine, especially the latch holding the lid close, as others have mentioned. I certainly don't expect it to last as long as my last food processor! However, I think it will do the job as long as I am somewhat careful in how I use it.

Works like a champ
I really like this food processor. The attachments store easily and it cleans up nicely. I am using it most every day.

i like this size
Lately all the food processors seem too small or too big. I like this size. I also like how the cutting disks store. After cleaning, the main blade goes in and then one of the disks drop in a few inches down, and lastly the second disk sits in it's normal position so nothing touches, and you can see all the parts are there if you forgot one.

Great food processor but didn't last long.
This food processor worked great until it didn't. The food processor failed within 3 months after only moderate use. Not the kind of quality I expect from KitchenAid. Unfortunately it failed just outside the return window and I am now stuck with a useless appliance.

I use it every single day!
I use it for onions, carrots, potatoes and other veggies. to mash, to grate, to slice and ...
