Does what it is supposed to. What more can you ask?
It does, indeed, do exactly what it says on the tin. It is memory for Sony devices that take memory sticks. If you need to expand a Sony PDA or digital camera's memory, you're kinda stuck with memory sticks, at least for now. I have only one Sony device that takes memory sticks at the moment, the Clié PEG-T625C PDA, and I thought I'd never want a memory stick. However I was bought this 64MB one as a present and it is invaluable for a quick backup of my data when I can't get to a docking cradle and I have low power. It has also helped to transform my PDA into a mobile music device, along with the mp3 adapter, so that's one less gadget I have to lug around now. The standard memory that comes in the Clié is way short of what you need for even a single album of mp3s, so the memory stick provides a much needed boost.Data transfer is not brilliantly quick - currently it takes around 4 minutes to back up my Clié (10MB). Not blisteringly fast, it's fine for the purpose, but compared with compact flash it is rather sluggish. I suspect that the speed may be a limitation of the interface between the device and stick.Overall it is a bit slow, but there's no real alternative. Very useful for backups from my PDA, but I'm not sure how well it would perform in, say, a digital camera. Compared with compact flash it is expensive, but again if you already have a Sony device your choice is limited.

Great value
I bought this to go along with my Sony DSC-P32 because the 16MB Memory Stick that came with the camera just wasn't large enough. The 64MB size was perfect to store 10 days worth of good quality Holiday Photos - and even a 2 minute video. As this cost for the larger sticks are still up there (I heard that 1 Gig stick might be available in 2005).. if you just want an affordable and slightly larger memory for your digital camera - go for this one.

Sony Memory Stick
If you need one, you need one. If you need one quickly and at a low price like I did, DigiFocus are great. Perfect communication about my order, accurate delivery prediction (even though it was faster than I thought possible) and a good follow up to make sure I was happy. Nothing to fault and a lot to be thankfull for.
